Senior Marketing Planning Manager – Currys plcCurrys plc is hiring a Senior Marketing Planning Manager to lead the strategic direction of marketing at our London Campus (Waterloo). The role is a 12‑month fixed term, full‑time, Grade 5.About the RoleThe Marketing Planning team sits at the heart of Currys marketing. You will orchestrate end‑to‑end planning, coordination and delivery of world‑class marketing campaigns across advertising, social, influencer, PR, creative, content and CRM. You’ll act as the key connector between leadership and execution teams, overseeing annual and quarterly planning, budget management, and performance measurement to maximize ROI while driving long‑term brand value.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the briefs: engage, energise and coach category squads and functional specialists to develop inspiring, customer‑centric, commercially effective briefs.Own the execution: collaborate with specialists to ensure plans are on brief, high‑quality and embody Currys brand principles across all customer touchpoints.Own the budget: navigate cross‑channel budgets, negotiate budget discussions with senior stakeholders, and use data and metrics to inform business cases.Own the process: champion and maintain marketing processes, represent channel processes, identify process optimisation, and deliver effectively when required.Own supplier‑facing marketing conversations: represent all Currys marketing channels, brand and marketing metrics.Own storytelling: help internal stakeholders understand and buy into the impact of our work.Coach, develop and mentor: manage and develop a team of 4 marketing planning managers, support delivery and ensure a pipeline of top talent.Required Skills & ExperienceExtensive marketing planning / multi‑channel campaign management experience.Able to envision, energise, empower and lead groups to deliver excellent results.Capacity to process a multitude of campaigns, budgets and marcomm strategy to inform decision making.Able to communicate marketing strategy, plans and rationale to director and CCO level.Able to balance multiple KPIs and orchestrate campaigns to deliver against these across marketing, customer, commercial squads and suppliers.Extensive stakeholder management experience at peer level, up to director level.Head for numbers and communicate complex quarterly and campaign budget data simply and concisely.Robust commercial acumen and understanding of supplier relationships and their impact on a retailer’s marketing.Ability to manage multiple complex projects at once, ensuring milestones are met and key updates are communicated to director and CCO level.Benefits25 days of annual leave (plus bank holiday entitlement)Private Medical InsuranceLife AssuranceFantastic colleague discounts on tech with Currys and iD MobileHybrid working (expect to meet in person 2‑4 times per month)Why Join UsCurrys is the UK’s best‑known tech retailer, proud of the service our customers receive.
