Job Title Sales and Marketing Manager Reporting To The Commercial Director Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth and enhance our market presence. This role requires an understanding of the engineering, manufacturing and electro-mechanical sectors, including strong analytical, organisational, creative thinking, and effective communication skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The role involves analysing market trends and customer needs, developing marketing plans and campaigns, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sales and marketing teams. A strong leader with the ability to work under pressure. The Sales and Marketing Manager is also responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals, policies and procedures and tracking performance metrics to measure success. Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve company objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Collaborate with other departments, such as Engineering and Quality, to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions. Prepare and deliver tailored presentations and proposals to clients. Manage and optimise the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to enhance market strategy. Develop and create marketing materials, including brochures, case studies, and digital content for website optimisation and social media platforms. Plan and execute marketing campaigns, including trade shows, webinars, and online advertising. Manage the exporting of goods process and required record retention. Analyse sales and marketing data to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field is preferred, but consideration will be given for suitable field and business experience in the same disciplines. Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing industry. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and marketing techniques. Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office 365 Suite. Willingness to travel as needed.
