Job Title: Performance Marketing Manager (hybrid/flexible working)

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Fixed term ‘maternity cover’ contract - Mid December 2025 to mid February 2027

Overview of the Role:

We are recruiting a fixed-term maternity cover for the ‘Performance Marketing Manager’ role, to join our supportive and friendly team. As a ‘Performance Marketing Manager’ you will assist the various RHS marketing teams with the planning and implementation of performance media activity, working closely with our external paid media agency – The Specialist Works.

The key focus will be the implementation, analysis and optimisation of direct Digital response channels - Paid search, paid social & affiliates. Ultimately leading to ongoing improvements in ROI on the RHS’s significant annual investment in these important marketing channels.

The most important experience, skills and attributes required for the Performance Marketing Manager maternity cover are:

  • A good working knowledge of performance marketing principles.
  • A passion for digital marketing platforms - especially performance media channels.
  • Experience from a previous role related to direct response and the driving of memberships, ticket sales and / or footfall.
  • Experience in putting in place AB and multivariate, performance media tests.
  • Strong attention to detail and copywriting / proofreading skills.
  • Strong, hand on skills in performance media campaign set up, management, optimisation, reporting and data analysis.
  • Proven experience of dealing with a high volume of work in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines.
  • Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, who collaborates and communicates openly with colleagues.
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT packages such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and ability to maintain an electronic calendar. Desire to learn and use other software programmes as necessary.
