OverviewMARKETING MANAGER (FITNESS/OUTDOOR)Office Based - Southampton (up to 2 days discretionary WFH after probation). Salary: £40,000 dependent upon experience. This role is for an autonomous, driven marketer with strong sports experience (Running, Outdoor Recreation/Adventure, Cycling) looking to contribute to a global brand.As one of Garmin's Segment Marketing Managers, you’ll strategize and deliver marketing outputs including world-class events, athlete and ambassador sponsorships, and collaborations with some of the UK’s largest retailers to support Garmin product launches and campaigns. You’ll take ownership of projects with autonomy to deliver agreed plans, ensuring brand consistency, compliance and quality, while driving measurable ROI. You will act as the internal advocate for your segment(s), maintaining excellent product knowledge and driving excitement and engagement. The ideal candidate will build and execute effective marketing plans to engage local audiences while retaining the global brand identity. Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelop, deliver and evaluate strategic marketing plans for product launches and campaignsAct as the internal client for your assigned segments, briefing and collaborating with internal marketing teams (Social, PR, Paid Media, Events, Visual Merchandising, E-Commerce, Design, etc.) and other key stakeholders to ensure all plans align to segment and business goalsWork with key retailers to drive excitement for products and brand and build marketing plans that drive Garmin awareness, consideration, and salesPlan and deliver sponsorship activities through relationship management, communications and project managementSupport the briefing and management of brand events and expos for your segments and optimise the events calendar to drive goalsManage localisation of global campaign materials, ensure assets are delivered on time and compliantAct as the guardian of the Garmin brand by ensuring local assets and communications adhere to brand guidelines and are consistent across channelsBrief 3rd parties where necessary (production teams, agencies, etc.)Maintain extensive professional knowledge of relevant segments (competitors, cultural insights, industry standards and trends) Experience And EducationMust have a genuine passion or experience in two or more of the following markets: Running, Cycling, Outdoor Recreation/Adventure (Golf experience is advantageous but not essential)Recognisable qualification in Marketing or Communications; experience in sports or brand marketing for a relevant brand, retailer or agencyStrong working knowledge of all marketing channels Technical RequirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with attention to detailSelf-motivated with a positive, professional approachResilient and able to cope under pressureCapable of working autonomously and multitasking in a high-pressure environmentExcellent interpersonal and relationship-building skillsFlexible, hands-on approach to businessExperience managing budgets and reporting on ROIPassion, integrity, and positive energyAbility to keep information confidentialRole includes some evening and weekend workRole requires UK and Ireland travel BenefitsPrivate Medical & Dental InsuranceCompetitive annual leave, including birthday and work anniversary daysAnnual Wellness BonusLife insurance, Income Protection and Critical Illness CoverEmployee Discount SchemeEmployee Share Purchase ProgrammePension SchemeDiscretionary Hybrid Working Model (2 days from home per week after probation)Cycle to Work SchemeSocial events and a relaxed and friendly culture where you and your career matter #J-18808-Ljbffr
