Head of Marketing

Location: Waterbeach, Cambridge (5 days per week in the office)

Are you an experienced B2B and B2G Marketing Leader with a proven track record in the technology or critical communications sector?

We are recruiting for a high-profile Head of Marketing position within a global technology business that delivers mission-critical solutions to public safety organisations, government departments, and enterprise clients.

This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the entire marketing function, from PR and communications through to digital, product marketing, events, and demand generation. You\'ll have visibility across the business and will work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, to elevate the brand and support significant growth plans.

Please note: This is a 5-day-a-week office-based role in Waterbeach (near Cambridge). Candidates must be fully comfortable with the daily commute in order to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic multi-channel marketing plan that drives business growth and strengthens the organisation\'s market presence.
• Lead on PR, media, and public affairs activity, managing the company\'s reputation across government and public-sector stakeholders.
• Deliver compelling, technically accurate content, campaigns, and collateral for both B2B and B2G audiences.
• Oversee digital marketing, content strategy, and events to maximise brand engagement and lead generation.
• Manage and develop the marketing team, ensuring innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
• Monitor and report on campaign ROI, competitor activity, and market trends to inform decision-making.
• Manage marketing budgets effectively and allocate resources for maximum impact.

About You

• Extensive experience in a senior B2B marketing role with demonstrable B2G (business-to-government / public sector) exposure.
• Strong track record in PR, communications, and media relations, with the confidence to represent the company externally.
• Background in a technology-led, engineering, or mission-critical communications environment is highly desirable.
• Commercially minded, data-driven, and confident managing multi-million-pound budgets.
• Inspirational leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.

Job Details

This role is full-time onsite at the company\'s Waterbeach office (just north of Cambridge). Applications will only be considered from candidates comfortable with the daily commute.
