Purpose of the RoleThe Growth Marketing Executive will drive customer acquisition and retention through data-driven strategies, customer lifecycle campaigns, and innovative growth tactics. You will specialise in a stage in the customer lifecycle (e.g. Onboarding, Retention or Win-back) using paid social & CRM channels that segment and target audiences through first party data. By analysing data, refining strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will maximise product consumption in areas including BBC iPlayer, BBC News. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your customer lifecycle expertise in CRM & paid media channels and help shape the future of how the BBC connects with its audiences.Your Key Responsibilities and ImpactPlanning, targeting and deploying multi-channel marketing communications within a stage of the customer lifecycle journey (e.g. onboarding, retention or win-back) across email, push notifications, paid social media and potentially targetable owned media.Forecasting audience, campaign, and channel performance, benchmarking past performance, and generating reports. Analysing and applying media research, insights, and audience data into digital media planning and campaign processes. Adjusting campaign variants to meet targets and improve efficiency against primary KPIs, and keeping stakeholders informed.Executing segmentation strategies by setting up new audiences, checking targeting rules, and validating links before approving for delivery.Ensuring all activity is delivered on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards. Guaranteeing all output complies with relevant guidelines and procedures, including editorial policy, data protection and information security.Establishing relationships with peers in Marketing, Media, Creative, Editorial, and Product teams, and providing guidance as the subject matter expert.Your Skills and ExperienceESSENTIAL CRITERIA:Demonstrate proficiency in setting up and delivering multichannel onboarding, retention or win-back campaigns in CRM & Paid Media channels.Able to target audience segments using CRM/CDP (Customer Data Platform) tools and activate these segments in various channels.Understand data analysis and able to use CRM systems to build and iterate audience targeting capabilities. Demonstrate attention to detail in proofing high-profile output, with the ability to spot and rectify discrepancies.Experience in data analysis and using digital measurement tools and frameworks (e.g. Google Analytics, Piano, Adobe) for reporting and decision-making.Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across organisational boundaries in the face of resistance to change.Able to be a self-starter to generate innovative ideas and translate them into practical realities.
