Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus

Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £39,697 and £46,349 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Marketing and Digital department at The Bedford College Group.

As a Marketing Manager, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

  • Strategic Campaign Leadership – Design and deliver targeted acquisition and conversion campaigns using CRM systems, ensuring alignment with recruitment goals and strategic objectives.
  • Content & Collateral Management – Lead production of marketing materials including prospectuses, social media content, and external listings, ensuring brand consistency and engaging storytelling.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a marketing partner to curriculum teams, building strong relationships and delivering agency-style support to promote student experience and drive recruitment.
  • Team & Budget Oversight – Manage direct reports, monitor performance, allocate resources, and oversee budgets to meet marketing and business objectives across the Group.
  • Compliance & Representation – Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards, represent the department at events and meetings, and deputise for senior leadership when required.
  • About you:

  • Qualifications & Development – Degree in business/marketing or equivalent, evidence of CPD, and willingness to continually update skills and knowledge.
  • Marketing Expertise – Proven success in delivering impactful campaigns, content creation, digital marketing (including CRM and paid ads), and budget/project management.
  • Leadership & Collaboration – Experience managing staff and building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Communication & Organisation – Excellent written and verbal communication, strong judgement, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility & Mobility – Willingness to work outside normal hours, travel independently across campuses and events, and align with organisational values and policies.
