OverviewMarketing Manager – Built Environment SectorA leading UK consultancy in strategic planning and intelligent, creative placemaking is looking for a Marketing Manager to help shape its future. With a 70-strong expert team, the practice delivers masterplans, growth strategies, policies, guidance and planning consents – all with a shared ambition to deliver sustainable and equitable development.The OpportunityFollowing an external strategic communications review in 2024, the practice is seeking to strengthen its industry profile with the appointment of a Marketing Manager. This new role will expand and evolve the way the organisation engages with a variety of audiences.This is a central role for continued growth, ideal for a proactive, strategic thinker with solid built environment sector experience. The right candidate will be a confident communicator, able to engage at all levels and inspire colleagues.ResponsibilitiesRefine and manage the strategic communications and marketing strategy, aligned with a 5-year Business Strategy.Develop and refine the brand and ethos, ensuring culture, strengths and values are represented across all communication channels.Report to the Partner responsible for Marketing and present to the board on performance, budgets and forecasts.Lead a small team, working with and line managing a Marketing & Communications Coordinator, supported by the Information Manager.Oversee all communications to ensure consistency and effectiveness, including thought leadership, publications, social media, newsletters, press, events, awards, corporate hospitality and industry engagement.Proven experience leading marketing activities and brand development within the built environment sector (ideally town planning, urban design or masterplanning), with measurable impact and industry contacts.Strong background in strategic planning, coordination and execution of cross-platform marketing activities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record in producing compelling content.Strong organisational and leadership qualities, with the ability to guide and inspire teams.DetailsBased in Milton Keynes (hybrid working options)£50k–£60k (full time equivalent, depending on experience)Benefits: competitive packages including performance related bonuses, long service leave on top of annual holiday allowance, excellent contributory pension scheme, medical insurance scheme, group life insurance, a cycle to work scheme and more.How to ApplyIf this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we’d love to hear from you.
