Marketing & Events Manager – MerchantsWe are seeking a full-time, permanent Marketing & Events Manager to join the team based in Pampisford to manage and deliver branch events and in-store activity across our nationwide network of builders merchants.ResponsibilitiesEvent planning – themes, locations, calendar, objective and KPI setting, in collaboration with Commercial and Operations teamsLocal activation of community engagement initiatives and campaignsCreative and copywriting, including briefing graphic designerEvent promotion through social media, POS, emailCoordinate prizes and event competitionsProduction of colleague engagement and communication packsCoordinating supplier liaison (attendance, engagement and contribution)Work with category teams to identify appropriate “on the day” dealsPre‑event colleague briefing sessionsData capture at event / database managementProduction and distribution of event promotional merchandisePost event internal communications / updates / feedback loopCustomer follow‑up communicationsEssential Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a marketing role, which includes event managementProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Proactive, self‑motivated, enthusiastic, and organisedStrong communication skillsTeam player, comfortable with supporting and accepting support from colleaguesAbility to work independentlyAn eye for detail and accuracy, good spelling and grammarProfessional, polite, friendly and helpful mannerComfortable working cross‑functionally with commercial, category, finance, and accounts teamsDesirable Skills and ExperienceBudget management and trackingStrong administrative skills such as PO management, responding to branch queries etc.Agency managementContent creation – basic photography and videographyContent editing and animationKnowledge of Adobe Suite and CanvaBenefitsCompetitive salary24 days annual leave, plus bank holidays pro rata to your contractCompany performance bonus schemeContributory pension schemeCompany‑funded life assuranceA generous colleague discount schemeA range of training and development programmes to help you progress your careerLocation: Pampisford, England, United KingdomTravel: regular fully expensed travel across England, Wales and Scotland.
