The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented Marketing Co-ordinator to join our busy London-based team. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and working closely with the Marketing Director, you'll be instrumental in executing the marketing strategy for the entire group, with a focus on supporting the growth of Sustainable Times and Sustainable Investor. This is a fast-paced role perfect for a proactive individual with a strong design eye and the practical skills to deliver high-quality multimedia content across all our brands. Key Responsibilities:
Produce and edit short-form multimedia content (video, audio, graphics) for use across the websites and social channels of Sustainable Times and Sustainable Investor. Design and format professional email newsletters for our various publications using platforms like Mailchimp, HubSpot, or similar. Create core marketing materials using Canva and/or basic functions of Adobe InDesign/Photoshop. Brief marketing resource and give feedback on creative copy. Ensure all content maintains brand consistency and high visual quality across the SMG portfolio.
Digital & Social Media Management:
Manage and schedule content across all social media channels, specifically driving engagement for Sustainable Times and Sustainable Investor. Update website content (e.g., blog posts, gated reports, event details) for various SMG sites using a basic Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress. Monitor basic social media performance metrics. Work with our commercial partners to deliver content to engage our audience (digital assets, sponsored emails, podcasts, articles) Help create and market webinars and content
Project & Team Support:
Help with event marketing and management to drive delegate acquisition. Draft initial creative briefs for the design team based on instruction from the Marketing Manager. Provide essential administrative and project support to the Marketing Manager and Marketing Director. Assist on-site at company events in London, handling on-the-day social media coverage, photography/videography, and general logistical support.
Candidate Profile: Essential Skills & Experience (Required)
2+ years of relevant professional experience A strong 'design eye' and the ability to apply basic design principles effectively to marketing materials. Attention to detail and good copywriting skills. Practical proficiency in creating graphics using Canva is mandatory; proficiency with either Adobe InDesign, platforms such as Veed or Riverside is a significant advantage. Hands-on ability with simple video and audio editing (e.g., using mobile apps or basic desktop software) for quick social media clips. Experience or clear understanding of scheduling content for major social media platforms (LinkedIn is key). Familiarity with updating content in a basic Website CMS (e.g., WordPress). Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail. High level of enthusiasm, willingness to learn quickly, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Desirable Attributes (Non-Essential)
A relevant degree in Marketing, Media, Design, or Communications. Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp or HubSpot). Basic understanding of SEO principles and website optimisation. Knowledge of basic Google Analytics or other reporting tools. Experience in a media or publishing environment. An interest in sustainability and purpose-driven business.
