Overview
Operating within the education space, this role gives a marketing professional the opportunity to add value to society and be purpose-driven. You’ll be part of a double-digit marketing team and collaborate with colleagues across channels. While experience in the education market isn’t required, you will need a passion for helping people, excellent leadership and project management skills, and a breadth of marketing knowledge. Channels you’ll work on include social media, email, digital content, events, PR and paid media. You will lead strategy and delivery for specific markets across the marketing mix.
About You
- Skilled in planning, delivering and evaluating integrated marketing and communications activity across digital and offline channels.
- Excellent copywriting and content creation skills, able to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
- Commercially astute with experience of budget management and measuring ROI.
- Experience working with agencies, suppliers and wider partners to deliver campaigns and projects.
- Confident in managing and developing junior colleagues.
- Degree and/or professional qualification in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Positive, proactive and highly organised with strong problem-solving skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning, managing and delivering a range of marketing, PR and communications activities.
- Designing and driving integrated campaigns to promote the organisation, brand and products.
- Using data and insight to shape campaigns and deliver personalised, impactful communications.
- Owning digital resources and ensuring content, usability and functionality are continually monitored and enhanced.
- Line managing at least one direct report; offering coaching, feedback and regular reviews.
- Representing the organisation at events, meetings and committees.
Where You’ll Be Based
The office is based in the York area with on-site parking. Initially you’ll need to be office-based most of the time, but there is a hybrid pattern (3 days in the office, 2 days remote). The role is best suited to those in or around North Yorkshire or Leeds. Ideal commutes include Wetherby, Leeds, Selby or York and nearby towns and villages.
What’s On Offer
- A strong base salary with an excellent benefits package including 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- The chance to lead high-profile marketing and communications campaigns with national impact.
- Opportunity to gain senior-level strategic experience while developing and mentoring colleagues.
- A collaborative, purpose-driven environment where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.
- York-based with hybrid working.
Applications will be reviewed promptly and progressed to interview. If you’d like a conversation prior to applying, contact the recruiter to discuss.
