OverviewWe’re looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Officer to join our busy marketing team. You’ll play a key role in raising the profile of Ipswich Borough Council and its group companies by supporting the delivery of innovative marketing campaigns and activities. Working closely with the Head of Marketing and Marketing Business Partner, you’ll help coordinate a wide range of projects across multiple brands, using the full marketing mix to engage audiences and achieve organisational goals.ResponsibilitiesScheduling engaging content across social media channelsCreating assets and copy for campaigns and communicationsAssisting with campaign planning and deliveryProducing and sending email newslettersSupporting the execution of wider marketing plansCopywriting for a variety of platformsCollating data and preparing reports to measure campaign successThis is a hybrid role, with an expectation of at least one day a week in the office. Core hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work required to support events and campaigns.What you’ll bringA self-starter mindset, driven to deliver high-quality resultsDemonstrable knowledge of the full marketing mixExcellent creative judgement and attention to detailStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloadConfident communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to collaborate effectively with sales teams and service areasProblem-solving skills and a proactive approachDesirableA marketing degree (or equivalent qualification)Experience of marketing within facilities management servicesHours and benefitsHours of work are 37 per week, Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.
