TGE is an accredited Living Wage Employer.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly organised and proactive Marketing Assistant to become the executional powerhouse of our dynamic marketing team. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Communications, you will be responsible for managing and executing a wide range of essential marketing activities. Your role will be central to the successful operation of the team, ensuring our website is up to date, our email campaigns are deployed effectively, our events run smoothly, and our internal communications are engaging. This is an excellent opportunity for a marketing graduate looking to support a mission-driven team.ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Campaign SupportAssist the Head of MarComms in the planning, execution and monitoring of all marketing and communications activities.Provide admin support to the Head of MarComms as required.Areas of Direct ResponsibilityInternal Communications: Take full ownership of compiling and distributing all internal communications and newsletters on Microsoft Teams to foster a vibrant and informed company culture.Event Management: Act as the lead coordinator for our events, both online and in-person. You will be responsible for logistics, promotion, and ensuring a seamless experience for attendees. Maintain the annual events tracker.Website Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the TGE website, including content updates, creating new pages, and implementing basic SEO best practices to ensure the site is current and discoverable.Email Marketing & Automation: Manage end-to-end processes for email marketing campaigns, from building emails and managing contact lists in HubSpot to deploying campaigns and reporting on their performance.Coordination with industry bodies: Ensure TGE’s interests and marketing activities are well represented in our memberships.Awards: Maintain the awards tracker and submit high-quality award entries as relevant.Areas of Key SupportCampaign & Content Support: Provide active support in planning marketing campaigns, developing the content calendar, and conducting market research.Content Creation: Assist in the creation and distribution of content, including blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies.PR & Social Media Support: Support the Head of MarComms and external agencies by coordinating PR activities and assisting with social media management and paid advertising campaigns.Operational & Sales Support: Help prepare marketing performance reports, manage the marketing tech stack, and create sales enablement materials to support the wider business.AdministrationHubSpot Administration: Day-to-day HubSpot admin duties, including contact database management, list building, data cleansing, and building simple forms or landing pages.WordPress Administration: Manage the website CMS including uploading new articles, reports and brochures, and updating meta descriptions and tags.Experience and CompetenciesA degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related fieldExceptional organisational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detailA proactive, enthusiastic, and can-do attitude, with a genuine desire to learn and develop a career in marketingPrior experience in a marketing environment such as a placement, internship or previous roleFamiliarity with managing corporate websites using a CMS (e.g., WordPress)Exposure to email marketing and marketing automation platforms (preferably HubSpot)Experience coordinating virtual or in-person eventsBasic understanding of SEO principlesProficiency with the full Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud suitesWhat We Offer25 days holiday per year FTE, plus Birthday, Bank Holidays and Christmas closure dates.After a successful 3-month probation, you will be eligible to join TGE’s Cycle to Work Scheme, Health Shield Cash Plan and Aviva Private Medical InsuranceOpportunity for on-the-job professional development and funded trainingA collaborative, supportive, and friendly team environmentHow to ApplyNo applications via LinkedIn will be accepted.
