Overview

Camden Art Centre is recruiting for a Marketing and Communications Manager, an exciting opportunity to lead brand development, audience development, and content creation for an internationally recognised and respected cultural organisation. The role leads our communications department and has strategic oversight of our wider communications activity and brand profile, driving new audiences and stronger engagement with all our programmes. It promotes our exhibitions, learning, residency and public programmes to audiences across the UK and internationally, with targets to increase both visitors to our building and online audiences through engaging and informative digital content. There is also a strong focus on commercial development opportunities including hires, retail, courses and partnerships, and the role will be integral to developing a marketing strategy that supports ambitious income targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the communications department with strategic oversight of brand profile and activity.
  • Drive audience development and engagement across all programmes (exhibitions, learning, residency, public programmes) for national and international audiences.
  • Increase visitor numbers and online audiences through engaging, informative digital content.
  • Identify and develop commercial opportunities (hires, retail, courses, partnerships) and contribute to a marketing strategy that supports income targets.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns, with a focus on the digital realm.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in communications and marketing within the contemporary visual arts, cultural, or digital media sector.
  • Excellent visual eye and attention to detail; creative and collaborative approach to building successful communications campaigns, particularly digital campaigns.
  • Ability to work flexibly within a busy team and be target driven.
