Inclusivity matters We recognise candidates may have diverse needs, and we will always look to support this throughout the process.If you have got the talent, the potential, the drive and determination there is a place for you at The Sovini Group.This position is a permanent opportunity.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and deliver SMART strategic and operational plans in their respective areas, aligned to not-for-profit and wider Group objectives.Produce, edit and proof content for awards, case studies and campaigns.Produce creative and engaging content which maximises PR and marketing opportunities.Build positive relationships with media contacts and third-party suppliers.Plan, implement and evaluate internal and external marketing communications campaigns to meet corporate objectives.Produce and disseminate communications across a range of media including online and press.Provide updates on marketing performance to internal clients and Head of Group Marketing and Communications.Collaborate on the development of marketing and communications strategies with stakeholders and team members.Act as a guardian of The Sovini Group brands ensuring brand guidelines adhered to and kept up to date including tone of voice, language across all content.Manage relationships with media contacts, disseminate press releases and arrange photo calls.Collaborate with team members and wider colleagues to fulfil marketing and corporate objectives.Commission work from third party providers in line with the Groups financial regulations and procurement framework.Coordinate internal and external events.Support budget management to ensure value for money.Liaise with design team to manage production of marketing materials, through the provision of project briefs and specifications.Effectively manage workload using workflow system to manage portfolio of projects and deadlines.Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.Experience or KnowledgeTo be successful in a Marketing and Communications Lead role, the skills you will need:5 GCSE (grade A to C) including English, or other level 2 qualification.Demonstrable experience in a marketing and communications role.Experience of working on integrated marketing campaigns.Experience of working as part of a team dealing with competing priorities.Experience of dealing with other agencies, suppliers, the media, customer and stakeholder groups.Experience generating content for awards, tenders, case studies and newsletters.Experience of collating and editing third party content into a style consistent with brand guidelines.Event management experience.Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.An understanding of digital, online and social media as marketing channels.An understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaignsAbility to develop and nurture positive working relationships.Ability to liaise with and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, the media and stakeholder groups.Positive work ethic with a resourceful approach.Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.Ability to work with minimal supervision to deadlines.Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.To demonstrate The Sovini Groups values in your day to day job role Success, Passion, Authenticity, Courage, Enterprise.Advantageous but Not EssentialUndergraduate degree or equivalent.Professional qualification in marketing, events or communications.Experience maximising PR opportunities and managing media relations.Crisis management communications experience.Best practice writing and proof-reading techniques.Knowledge of website and intranet content management systems (CMS).Strong organisational and project management skills.Good understanding of equality and diversity and how that impacts on marketing activities.Good understanding of current social and economic issues, including housing.Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Photoshop (or other editing suites) and PowerPoint.Driving Licence and access to own vehicleCompensation and PerksCompetitive salary - £35,165.0436 Hours per week (Monday-Friday).Agile working28 days holiday pro rata increasing with service.Cycle 2 Work Scheme.Group personal pension scheme.Life Assurance.Career development opportunities.Corporate discount scheme.Staff well-being and feel-good programme.Apply online via our website today!Please note we do not accept approaches from recruitment agencies and only applications made via our website will be accepted.Closing date 10th October 2025Please note that shortlisting may take place prior to the advert closing, if a high volume of suitable applicants have applied, the advert may close early.
