Role

The Head of Marketing will play a key role in driving and developing the Marketing function and strengthening Sepura’s presence in the market. You will:

  • Drive the company strategy, vision and values internally and externally
  • Develop and implement strategic multi-channel marketing plans and brand strategy to align with business growth objectives
  • Deliver a mix of strategic vision and day-to-day execution
  • Drive the planning and promotion of sales activity based on market analysis, product solutions portfolio and customer research
  • Manage the internal and external communications strategy including media monitoring, and analysis. This includes the planning and execution of public and analyst relations strategies.
  • Create compelling messaging that both elevates and creates greater awareness of the brand to customers and the wider market.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of social media, content and digital marketing campaigns, both locally and internationally.
  • Manage and develop cost effective relationships with external agencies and media partners.
  • Ensure high-quality communications both internally and externally
  • Become knowledgeable on Sepura’s product portfolio to maximise the impact of marketing activities
  • Develop and lead demand generation campaigns from thought leadership to market qualified leads that are progressed by the sales organisation.

Public Relations and Brand

  • Strategic management of Sepura’s image and reputation, building sustainable relationships with external stakeholders (Press, Government Affairs)
  • Ensure our website, news stories, videos and content are engaging and technically correct
  • Ensure the Sepura brand is strong, consistent and up to date across all marketing collateral
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding brand messaging
  • Deliver presentations, press releases and thought leadership at trade events

Budget

  • Manage within the marketing budget and ensure effective allocation of resources and maximise company return on investment for all activities

Reporting

  • Plan, monitor and report on marketing activities and events, ensuring ROI
  • Establish and track marketing KPI’s and reporting on progress
  • Analyse and report on market trends and competitor activity

Team management

  • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing coaching, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability
  • Act as a positive role model – an ambassador for the Company’s reputation and excellence

This job involves some travel so the successful applicant will ideally have a full, clean driving licence, own car, and valid passport. There will also be some occasional international travel so a passport will be required.

  • Degree qualified
  • A recognised marketing qualification

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience & track record of success in a strategic B2B & B2G marketing role, ideally within a technology-based industry
  • Skilled in messaging and creating compelling value propositions.
  • Experienced in leveraging public relations to drive brand awareness and thought leadership.
  • A strong presenter who can be an advocate for the Sepura brand at public events.
  • Previous experience of working within a wireless or critical services industry is preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data-driven decision-making to optimise marketing campaigns, track ROI, and refine go-to-market strategies
  • Creative thinking and excellent stakeholder management skills to engage, influence, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in
  • Experience of developing and maintaining effective CRM systems
  • In depth knowledge of analytics, general marketing metrics and reporting
  • Ability to moderate and compromise between conflicting demands
  • An understanding of search engine optimisation
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with excellent presentation skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong IT skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and InDesign, image editing and video production
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple senior stakeholders
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing and social media, ensuring strategies are innovative and effective
  • Budgetary and financial experience
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Team management experience with the ability to foster a culture on continuous improvement and innovation
