Head of Marketing – Part‑Time, 25–30 hours/week

Are you a senior marketing professional looking for a strategic and hands‑on role on a part‑time basis? We are partnered with a well‑established, specialist scientific equipment company to appoint a Head of Marketing. This is a unique opportunity to provide leadership, shape the marketing function, and make a direct impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the marketing strategy and ensure it is effectively executed across the business.
  • Deliver multi‑channel campaigns, content, and digital activity aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee digital marketing, including website, eCommerce platforms, and social media.
  • Act as guardian of the brand, ensuring clarity, consistency, and precision in all communications.
  • Use market insight, data, and competitor analysis to guide decisions and identify opportunities in technical and scientific markets.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and distributors.
  • Mentor and develop the Marketing Manager and wider marketing team.
  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure marketing activity is commercially effective.
  • Potentially take on leadership of the Product Management function in future.
  • Join the Senior Management Team after a qualifying period.

What you will have

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior marketing role covering campaigns, product marketing, lead generation, and team management.
  • B2B marketing experience in technical, scientific, or research‑driven sectors.
  • Strong digital marketing expertise with hands‑on delivery experience.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.
  • Comfortable operating in a smaller, fast‑paced business while providing strategic leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident providing professional guidance and advice.
  • Organised, process‑driven, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to travel internationally if required, with a valid UK driving licence.
