Our focus is on delivering superior customer experiences and innovative solutions.

Purpose of the role

This senior, global position will work closely with the VP of Corporate Communications and wider team to build and deliver a refreshed, impactful communications strategy that supports core business objectives. The role aims to break free from legacy practices and drive a best-in-class approach to marketing communications that informs, engages and builds credibility with core audiences. It will support the transformation journey by enhancing foundational communication practices and delivering inspirational brand activations.

The role will help lead the strategy for PR, competitive positioning, executive profiling and global events to drive reputation, differentiation and visibility across key B2B and B2C audiences.

A key focus will be on building and protecting core brands – particularly Priority Pass – through creative yet commercially aligned media engagement; positioning the C-Suite as informed thought leaders; delivering a global events strategy and regional framework; and developing strategic brand partnerships with Brand and Marketing teams to reach new audiences while defending market position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a holistic, proactive content strategy designed to reveal core, brand and commercially-minded deliverables in a consistent, clear and timely fashion via key channels. Align content to a red-thread brand narrative and quarterly hero content and strategic projects, and plan how content is leveraged across key audiences.
  • Help lead the global PR strategy and delivery alongside the Senior Global PR and Communications Manager, directing the global PR agency and aligning regions to build a strategic media engagement plan. Ensure alignment with sister operating companies where appropriate. Bring ideas that go beyond press releases, including paid and organic media, blogger engagements, live broadcasts, media roundtables, and editor fireside chats.
  • Devise a global event and hospitality strategy and delivery plan with the Marketing Communications Manager to engage key clients and prospects through sponsorships, media roundtables, or client events, aligned to the wider content strategy.
  • Position select C-Suite employees as informed thought leaders through executive profiling across LinkedIn, media engagements, event speaking, and client case studies to make the brand relatable and credible.
  • Work with the Brand and Marketing team to conceive a global brand partnership strategy that brings our core communication pillars to life, elevating Priority Pass as an aspirational lifestyle benefit and exploring brand advocate engagement and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Oversee the crisis/incident communications team with a well-crafted plan, including reactive and proactive statements as needed, to control evolving narratives.
  • Contribute to measurement and monitoring of marketing communications activities and report on impact to key stakeholders across the business.

Key skills and experience required

  • Extensive experience in marketing communications in a global or multi-market business with multi-functional teams and a large portfolio of products and services. Strong experience in PR, communications and events is required.
  • Extremely creative, collaborative, with excellent stakeholder influencing, management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work strategically, challenge constructively and translate ideas into easily-digested content that resonates with the intended audience.
  • University degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects against tight deadlines in a dynamic and growing business.
  • Ability to demonstrate ROI and learnings from marketing plans, activities and budget ownership.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Team player and people manager who can positively influence colleagues at all levels, with experience of working with C-Suite.
