This is a hybrid, high-impact, global role accountable for shaping how we engage, retain, and grow millions of travellers each month across 50+ countries. Working closely with multiple teams across the business, you'll lead a team and be responsible for devising, executing, and optimising our CRM & Lifecycle strategy to ensure personalised, compelling communications drive measurable impact on growth, retention, and commercial performance. Responsibilities

  • Setting Strategy: Work closely with Lifecycle Director & Product team to set and deliver Lifecycle Marketing & Retention strategy, balancing centralised strategy with local market execution and ensuring alignment with wider business goals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop and grow a team of global Lifecycle marketers (including people managers), providing leadership, coaching and development opportunities whilst promoting an endlessly curious approach to improving performance and efficiencies.
  • Driving Innovation: Oversee innovation across channels (email, push, in-app messaging), ensuring communications are highly personalised, data-led, and globally scalable. Drive performance measurement and utilise AI to deliver continuous improvement across lifecycle programs.
  • Cross-functional influence & delivery: Work cross-functionally with Design, Product, Engineering, and Data tribes to shape priorities, and partner with regional and functional leaders to embed lifecycle strategies across the traveller journey.
  • Delivering Traveller & Business impact: Accountable for forecasting and delivering measurable impact on traveller retention, repeat sessions, and revenue contribution. Ensure campaigns are effectively managed and optimised to meet budgets and business targets.
  • Enhancing Tools & processes: Leverage AI to identify & drive innovation in lifecycle tools, strategies, and tactics. Build and manage relationships with third-party tool providers, including our ESP, Braze, to ensure Skyscanner remains ahead of industry best practices.
  • Presentation and Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations (incl. to senior stakeholders), providing clear updates on strategy, project progress, campaign performance and traveller impact.
  • Team Builder: Previous experience in line management and managing managers, with a proven track record of leading distributed teams and developing talent.
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Extensive experience managing & delivering CRM/Lifecycle Marketing programs & strategies across email & push. Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast performance, optimise campaigns & deliver against KPIs.
  • Analytical Mindset: An obsession with - and proven track record of - building, delivering & optimising communications that add customer value and deliver quantifiable upside to relationships and retention.
  • Marketing Tools & tech-savvy: Deep expertise with lifecycle marketing tools, segmentation, personalisation, and automation (experience with Braze ideal). Proficient in Microsoft Office & Atlassian (Miro, Confluence, Slack, JIRA). Experience in Tableau (and extracting actionable insights) is preferred.
  • Stakeholder influencer: Skilled at managing stakeholders in an Agile environment, influencing priorities, and coordinating across multiple teams.
  • Communication: Strong written & verbal communication, with ability to work collaboratively & influence effectively in a cross-functional, diverse & geographically spread team environment.
