We’re delighted to be working with a high-growth, award-winning marketing agency that partners with global technology and professional services brands. The business combines creative strategy, digital expertise, and data-driven insights to deliver end-to-end campaigns that genuinely move the needle for its clients.

Having scaled to around 120 people across the UK and Europe and generating ~£20m turnover, the agency has built a strong reputation for its collaborative culture, bold creative work, and impressive client retention. Following a period of sustained organic growth, the business is now investing in its leadership team to strengthen financial rigour and support continued expansion.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Co-Founder & MD, the Finance Director will take ownership of the agency’s financial strategy, systems, and leadership of a small but capable finance function. This is a hands‑on and strategic role — ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys shaping how finance drives decision‑making across the business.

You’ll be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the heads of Client Services, Strategy, and Operations to ensure commercial alignment and support profitable growth across multiple revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows
• Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes — providing commercial insight to the Board and senior leadership
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to improve visibility of client profitability, project margins, and resource utilisation
• Manage cash flow and working capital effectively, supporting continued investment in people and innovation
• Partner with client and delivery teams to embed commercial awareness and improve pricing strategies
• Oversee statutory reporting, audit, and compliance, with responsibility for external relationships (banks, auditors, and advisors)
• Support strategic initiatives including M&A evaluation, international expansion, and potential funding opportunities

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with post‑qualification experience in an agency environment
• Proven track record leading finance in a creative, marketing, or professional services business
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills — comfortable influencing non‑financial leaders
• A proactive, hands‑on leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with day‑to‑day ownership
• Experience implementing or optimising financial systems and processes to support scale
