About the Role The Digital Marketing Manager reports to the two Directors of Marketing and manages the Digital Marketing Specialist. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: to ensure the Maples Group has a market-leading presence across all digital media platforms. The successful candidate will work with members of the BD&M team, partners, business heads and other senior stakeholders across all offices on the creation and delivery of digital marketing strategies and campaigns. This role also acts as a central resource for digital marketing across the Group, supporting our Legal, Fiduciary and Fund Services divisions. It will play a key role in aligning digital strategies across practice groups, business units including promoting platform governance, and driving innovation across areas such as social media, email marketing, video and audio channels, paid media, website content and performance, and analytics. While the role works in close partnership with existing Fiduciary and Fund Services digital marketing colleagues, it supports rather than manages those individuals directly. Primary responsibilities include: Strategic
Collaborate with the Directors of Marketing to develop a comprehensive Group digital and marketing strategy aimed at increasing brand awareness, generating new business opportunities and enhancing overall client experience. Work closely with the BD&M senior leadership team to influence practice group and business unit specific digital strategies that demonstrate results and drive client growth. Work alongside Marketing Managers to ensure alignment is achieved across all digital initiatives including championing a culture of a One Group mindset across the BD&M function and wider organisation.
Social Media Strategy and Management
Oversee all social media platforms and activities. Monitor, analyse, and report on social media performance, using insights to refine strategies and maximise engagement. Stay abreast of social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, ensuring the Group's approach remains current and effective. Integrate social media activity with broader digital campaigns to support audience engagement and lead generation. Advise of platform-specific best practices for social media content and visual design, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance.
Website Content Management
Work with our marketing specialists on the creation, editing, and publication of website content, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the Group's brand and objectives. Work with internal stakeholders to update practice area pages, people profiles, news items, and insights. Optimise website content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive relevant traffic. Ensure all website content complies with the Group's quality standards. Liaise with our internal web team as required for technical updates and enhancements. Support UX improvements and performance tracking to enhance digital customer journey.
General
Work with our in-house Creative & Digital Studio to ensure our digital footprint is on-brand and evolves. Support the delivery of campaigns across a variety of digital marketing channels, including website content, email marketing, social media platforms, paid media (Google Ads, Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads), and multimedia platforms such as YouTube and podcasting channels. Maximise the ability to feed the outputs of digital campaigns into the BD funnel. Collaborate with BD&M leadership to develop and execute marketing plans to identify campaign opportunities, recommend appropriate marketing channels and manage budget spend. Develop and manage the Groups' digital marketing budget. Partner with CRM, Marketing Technology and Digital teams to align on best practices in CRM optimisation, paid media strategy, and digital funnel development - including segmentation, automation, and conversion tracking. Champion data-driven decision making through analytics, dashboards, and performance reporting. Promote best practices in digital governance, accessibility, and platform consistency across practice groups and business units. While supporting training initiatives and championing A/B testing to drive performance and learning. Provide strategic input into video and audio content channels, including YouTube, webcasts, and podcasts, advising on optimisation, promotion, and audience engagement. Deliver operational oversight, leadership and guidance to the Digital Marketing Specialist within the department, ensuring alignment with overall department goals and motivated to deliver exceptional service. Encourage innovation within the function, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and exploring new approaches to enhance marketing efforts. Carry out any other duties which may from time to time be required.
Experience What You Bring In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
A professional qualification in a Business or Marketing related field is preferred 8+ years of digital marketing experience (preferably in professional, B2B or financial services) Strong knowledge of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, PPC, email marketing, social media, content strategy, and performance analytics across web and multimedia channels. Experience with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress) Familiarity with SEO best practices and analytics tools (e.g., Siteimprove, Google Analytics). Engage credibly with all members of the organisation with high level of enthusiasm and ability to use own initiative Ability to provide both strategic and operational support when needed High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle a consistent and varied workload is essential Ability to work well under pressure and juggle a number of on-going projects with deadlines and budgets while also maintaining high quality delivery Ability to make decisions in a timely manner Ability to apply logic and creativity to problem solving, ideally from experience gained in a professional services environment Strong relationship skills and the capability to understand and quickly respond to the needs of senior stakeholders Strong teamwork skills to work alongside and build relationships with the BD&M Teams both locally and globally Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills Strong project management and administrative skills
