The Job:
We are delighted to be assisting them with their vacancy for a
Trade Marketing Manager
to join their Product & Marketing team in Cheddar. This high-profile role is accountable for the marketing strategy and execution across key accounts, including multi-site merchants and independent retailers.
Youll be responsible for developing tailored marketing approaches to support new clients, covering account pitches, range set up, promotional activity, and ongoing tactical initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with Sales, Product Development, Marketing Communications, and Customer Service teams.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing the marketing plan across multi-site merchants and retail stores in line with brand and account strategy
Developing and managing annual marketing plans with top 10 clients, scheduling activity to support sales
Managing the Trade Marketing budget to drive growth and demonstrate ROI
Initiating collaborations with third parties, partnerships, and sponsorships to build awareness and sales
Ensuring brand consistency across distributors with engaging POS, displays, and promotional material
Supporting new account openings and client development with the Retail Sales team
Overseeing events and exhibitions, including stand content, customer follow-up, and reporting
Leading promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives (e.g., Advent Calendar, January Sales)
Supporting incentive schemes and hosting preview events/insight meetings
The Trade Marketing Manager will also be required to drive to customer sites when needed.
The Person:
For this role, they are looking for an experienced
Trade Marketing professional
with strong promotional and marketing management experience, ideally within retail, interiors, or premium consumer goods.
They are also looking for someone who is:
Experienced in Trade Marketing Management (35 years minimum, ideally in the brassware/bathroom industry)
Business/Marketing degree qualified
Commercially minded, analytical, and confident managing budgets, agencies, and stakeholders
Organised, proactive, and used to working in a fast-paced environment
A strong communicator with excellent influencing and presentation skills
IT proficient, with strong reporting, written, and numerical skills
Positive, motivated, and highly accurate with a keen eye for detail
Flexible to travel regularly across the UK
Affinity with interiors or bathroom design would be an advantage.
