Overview

We are looking for a data-savvy and insight-driven Senior Manager - Test, Experiment and Learn to join our Marketing team at Lloyds Banking Group. This is a unique opportunity to lead the design and execution of marketing experiments that shape how we engage with millions of customers. If you\'re passionate about using data to drive smarter decisions and have a strong foundation in statistical testing and experimentation, we\'d love to hear from you.

About the Role

In this role, you\'ll be the driving force behind our marketing experimentation agenda—embedding a culture of continuous learning and evidence-based decision-making. You\'ll work across digital, CRM, and ATL marketing channels to design robust tests, analyse results, and generate actionable insights that improve campaign performance and customer outcomes. You\'ll collaborate closely with our media and creative agencies, as well as full funnel marketing and channel leads to ensure our marketing activity is measurable, optimised, and impactful.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the Test & Learn strategy across all channels, campaigns and brands.
  • Design and implement statistically sound experiments (e.g., A/B tests, multivariate tests) to evaluate marketing effectiveness.
  • Define success metrics, control groups, and sample sizes to ensure test validity and reliability.
  • Analyse test results using appropriate statistical techniques and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Build frameworks and playbooks to scale experimentation across the marketing function.
  • Partner with BI & analytics, data science, and Platform teams to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, coaching stakeholders on best practices and fostering curiosity and innovation.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.

About you

  • Proven experience in a senior analytics or experimentation role within a marketing environment.
  • Strong expertise in statistical testing, including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and significance testing.
  • Hands-on experience designing and analysing A/B and multivariate tests across digital and CRM channels.
  • Familiarity with ATL measurement techniques, including econometrics and brand tracking.
  • Experience with web and app analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, GA4).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Working for us

We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity, or culture. We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. We especially welcome applications from under-represented groups. We are disability confident. If you would like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
