80 DAYS is looking for a Social Media Marketing Assistant to join our Edinburgh office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team providing social media services to some of the world's most respected hotel and travel brands.The role will assist members of the Social Media team to actively management our clients' social media channels, content and communities. In addition the role will help facilitate 80 DAYS Social Media Training Academy, assisting students to access learning materials and undertake training sessions.In this role, you will need excellent written communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritise.First and foremost, we’re looking for bright young social media talent. The role includes on-the-job training and mentoring, with excellent opportunity for professional development and company progression.Permanent Role, EdinburghThe responsibilities of the Social Media Marketing Assistant include:Social Media MarketingWorking across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTokThe filing and editing of multi-media contentCreating monthly publishing plans for varied platforms and objectivesThe scheduling and optimisation of all social contentData gathering, analysis and reportingKeeping abreast of social and industry trends, platform updates and new featuresCommunity ManagementEngaging with clients' communities and customers via social mediaProactively encouraging engagement with our client brand and social media channelsFirst-line responder to customer queries, requests and complaints via social mediaCo-ordinating with hotel operational teams to respond to customer requestsEnsuring an excellent customer experience is provided, with communication that is clear and on-brand for each client.Client TrainingSupporting the Social Media Tutors in organising and running Social Media Training AcademiesEnrolling students and assisting them with accessing learning materials and completing training exercisesOrganising training sessions and webinars for Tutors and StudentsAssisting Social Media Tutors in producing learning materials and marking students' exercisesSkills & ExperienceExcellent inter-personal and communication skillsStrong organisational skills, with an aptitude for multi-tasking and managing prioritiesBest practice understanding and experience across social platformsThe ability to think creatively in support of our clients business objectivesCopywriting skills that are sharp, memorable and make readers take actionFirst-class multimedia content creation and editing skillsA keen visual eye, and a flair for crafting presentationsDegree in Social Media and / or Digital MarketingPassion for travel and the hotel industry1 - 2 years experience working in the luxury travel sector, or at agency levelDriving licenceA fluent second languageLocationThe role will be based at the 80 DAYS head office in Edinburgh city centre, with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle.
