OverviewBlue Light Card is seeking a data-driven and creative SEO Specialist to join our Growth team. You’ll play a key role in improving how Blue Light Card shows up in search, from traditional SEO to generative platforms like Google Gemini and ChatGPT. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine data, experimentation and creativity to shape and deliver strategies that strengthen visibility and grow awareness of our app and membership. The main focus is SEO, with scope to develop skills in ASO and other channels.What You’ll DoContribute to and execute SEO and GEO strategies that improve visibility across search and generative platformsConduct keyword research to understand how our audiences (NHS, teachers, armed forces etc.) are searchingAudit, monitor and improve on-page and technical SEO performance, working with developers to ensure best practice in site health, crawlability and indexationCollaborate with Brand & Comms to create human-focused, AI-friendly content that performs across search engines and generative platformsDesign and run A/B tests, analyse funnel and cohort performance, and use data to identify opportunities for growth and improved conversionOptimise App Store and Google Play listings to increase visibility and installs, building your skills in ASOMonitor, report and share insights on organic performance using GA4, Search Console, SEMrush and Looker StudioStay ahead of algorithm changes, generative AI developments and SEO trends, bringing fresh ideas to test and learnWhat You’ll BringDemonstrated experience within a specialist SEO role (in-house or agency) with understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, page speed optimisation, schema markup and Core Web VitalsStrong knowledge of tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console and GA4, plus experience using data visualisation platforms to track, analyse and attribute resultsAwareness of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and how AI-driven search is shaping visibilityPractical experience running A/B and multivariate tests, using insights to optimise performance and user journeysExperience developing content strategies informed by keyword research and user intent and executing these within a CMSConfidence collaborating cross-functionally and communicating insights clearly to non-technical stakeholdersA natural curiosity to test new ideas, explore emerging channels and stay ahead of industry and AI trendsHands-on work with App Store optimisation for a discount, ecommerce or memberships app would be desirable but is not essentialOur CultureOur mission is simple – make heroes happy.
