What You'll Do

Avalara's Partner Marketing team is looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Partner Marketing Manager to help drive growth across our EMEA ecosystem. This includes some of the region's most influential technology and consulting partners - such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Workday, Zuora, Chargebee, PWC, KPMG, Sage, Epicor, NetSuite, and Salesforce to mention a few.

As a Senior Partner Marketing Manager, you'll plan and execute go-to-market strategies that create joint pipeline and drive influence across the Avalara ecosystem. You'll partner with Strategic Alliance Managers (SAMs), regional sales leadership, and EMEA / global marketing teams to activate integrated campaigns that align with Avalara's growth goals and our partners' priorities.

This is a high-impact role that blends strategic thinking, executional excellence, and strong cross-functional collaboration across sales, alliances, and marketing. You'll serve as a core leader for Avalara's EMEA partner marketing initiatives, providing direction and guidance across the full marketing lifecycle.

You will report to the Senior Director, Marketing - International.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Own joint marketing strategy and execution across key EMEA partners in the technology and advisory landscape.
  • Build and manage integrated go-to-market plans that support joint value propositions and create measurable pipeline.
  • Partner with SAMs and sales leaders to align marketing with partner engagement, sales enablement, and co-selling strategies.
  • Develop and localize co-branded campaigns, events, digital programs, and partner content across owned, paid, and partner-led channels.
  • Leverage partner market development funds (MDF) and Avalara budgets to deliver ROI-positive programs that support regional revenue targets.
  • Act as the marketing voice in partner business planning - helping shape strategic objectives, KPIs, and quarterly targets.
  • Lead partner marketing governance and reporting across stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and performance tracking.
  • Champion Avalara's value proposition with and through partners - driving consistency in messaging, positioning, and engagement.
  • Support onboarding of new partners and ensure readiness for marketing activation through enablement and collaboration.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • 12+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years focused on partner or alliance marketing in SaaS, ERP, or related sectors.
  • Deep familiarity with the EMEA partner landscape, including enterprise platforms and global system integrators.
  • Experience with partner/channel/ISV marketing motions and co-sell dynamics, especially across marketplaces and consulting firms.
  • Experience marketing with or through Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Workday, Salesforce, NetSuite, or similar ecosystem partners.
  • Experience managing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive measurable influence and partner-sourced revenue.
  • Experience with partner relationship development, field marketing collaboration, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Excellent project management skills—able to manage multiple partner motions simultaneously.
  • Comfortable navigating a matrixed environment with cross-functional teams across regions and time zones.
