To help us get there, we're looking for a high-performing, all-rounder marketing leader who’s worked in (or alongside) the big QSR players, knows how to build national campaigns and scale local store marketing, and is ready to roll up their sleeves and drive exponential growth.
The Role
You will own the full marketing function — from brand strategy to local activation, digital to in-store experience — and work directly with the CEO to transform how we market to customers, franchisees, and the wider UK market. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead marketing in a high-growth brand with massive potential.
This is not a desk job — it's a build-and-lead role. We're looking for someone strategic, hands-on, fast-moving, and QSR-experienced.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand & Growth Strategy
- Develop and lead the national marketing strategy to support brand growth, customer acquisition, and store expansion.
- Evolve the Tops Pizza brand identity into a household name — across digital, print, in-store, packaging, and more.
- Create and execute national campaigns that resonate across diverse UK audiences.
2. Digital & Performance Marketing
- Oversee and optimise all paid media (Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, etc.) to drive online orders and app engagement.
- Manage website, SEO/SEM, digital loyalty schemes, CRM, and e-commerce performance.
- Own KPIs across digital funnels — acquisition, retention, lifetime value, and ROI.
3. Local Store Marketing (LSM)
- Develop scalable, plug-and-play marketing toolkits for franchisees to execute effective local campaigns.
- Coach and support franchisees in growing local awareness, footfall, and orders.
- Ensure brand consistency and impact across all 85+ stores (and growing).
4. Social & Content
- Lead social media strategy and execution across national and local channels.
- Create engaging, brand-aligned content and seasonal campaigns that drive customer love.
- Build a narrative and tone of voice that makes Tops Pizza culturally relevant.
5. Franchise & Field Marketing
- Act as the key marketing partner to franchisees — a trusted leader who can balance local needs with brand vision.
- Visit stores, build relationships, and bring franchisees along the marketing journey.
6. Leadership & Team Building
- Initially, this is a solo leader role — but the right candidate will quickly build and lead a growing marketing team.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Product, and Tech to align on customer experience and messaging.

Requirements
- 5+ years of QSR, franchise, or retail marketing experience — must have worked in or with major national food/retail brands.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, digital funnels, and local store growth.
- Proven ability to manage and grow a multi-site brand with consistency and creativity.
- Hands-on, data-driven marketer who can go from strategy to execution — no ivory tower thinkers here.
- Exceptional communicator and leader — confident presenting to leadership and working with franchisees.
- Hungry, humble, and laser-focused on results.
