Job Summary: As Senior Marketing Manager, you will lead the strategic marketing direction for a large portfolio of owned, joint owned and high value society owned Life Sciences journals. You will develop and own customer focused, data driven go to market strategies that support submissions growth, open access revenue, readership and long term portfolio performance. Working in a complex matrix environment, you will partner closely with Product, senior editorial colleagues and learned society executives to align marketing strategy with editorial and commercial priorities. A core focus of the role is building and sustaining trusted society partnerships, with clear accountability for society satisfaction, retention and support of renewal and RFP processes. You will combine strategic thinking with operational agility, using market intelligence and performance insight to adapt plans and maximise impact across the portfolio. Job Responsibilities:Required Qualifications: 5–10 years’ experience in marketing, with demonstrated strategic and product or portfolio marketing responsibility.Proven experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and operating effectively in a matrix organisation.Strong data analysis and insight interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insight into effective marketing strategies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively without formal authority. Preferred Qualifications:Experience within scholarly publishing, academia, or working with learned societies.
