Our team
Canada Life Asset Management has over 100 colleagues and includes more than 50 experienced investment professionals, with almost 20 years' average industry experience and ten years' average tenure at Canada Life Asset Management (CLAM). We are now seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to join our team in London to help us grow and build our UK profile and business.
Job Summary
Support the development and lead the execution of a high impact marketing and communications strategy to support the growth ambitions of the UK asset management business. This role plays a pivotal role in overseeing a brand transition, shaping the firm's market proposition in partnership with sales teams and in alignment with business plans, delivering integrated campaigns, and managing corporate communications and PR.
The role requires programme level thinking with hands-on execution skills and an understanding of the asset management industry. This includes having a deep understanding of adviser opportunities and the broader 'Wealth' channel and evidencing an understanding of the positioning, competition and distribution routes into these segments.
What You'll Do
Brand Leadership
- Oversee the operational delivery of the firm's brand transition, ensuring consistency across all channels and materials. Manage brand positioning, visual identity, and messaging to reflect the firm's growth strategy and values. Work closely with internal stakeholders to embed the brand across the organisation. Brand anchor thought leadership - design, develop and activate
P roposition Development & Sales Enablement
- Collaborate with sales leadership to define and refine value propositions for target client segments. Translate propositions into compelling messaging, materials, and content to support business development. Content marketing - client-centric insights that help drive retention, new AUM and competitive differentiation leveraging data driven insights. Develop sales enablement tools and resources to ensure consistent, impactful client engagement.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Create and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and events to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation. Manage campaign planning, budgeting, execution, and performance measurement. Ensure content is tailored to different channels, audiences, and stages of the sales cycle.
Public Relations & Corporate Communications
- Oversee PR strategy and relationships with media as well as corporate communications agencies, ensuring proactive press office style approach to help build reputation management.
Who You Are
Proven track record in senior B2B marketing and communications roles, ideally within asset management or broader financial services.
High level and operational capability - able to help shape strategy and roll up sleeves for delivery.
Brand management experience, including rebrand or brand transition projects.
Strong proposition development skills, with experience working closely with sales teams to craft client-centric messaging.
Campaign management expertise, from concept to execution and measurement, across multiple channels.
Media and PR skills, including working with journalists, managing agencies, and crafting press narratives.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and content to diverse audiences.
Strong project management, budget management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commercially astute with a strong understanding of the asset management landscape.
Collaborative, influential, and confident engaging at senior levels.
Adaptable, proactive, and resilient in a fast-changing environment.
Creative thinker with a results-driven mindset.
