This global role drives client and business development across the Industrials and Health & Life Sciences sectors, combining strategic insight, market positioning, and client engagement to support the firm’s ambition to be a global leader in these dynamic industries.

The Industrials sector includes manufacturing and industrial engineering, aerospace, defense & security, automotive and chemicals. The Health & Life Sciences sector includes pharmaceuticals, biotech, medtech, healthcare providers, and digital health innovators.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of sector strategies that reflect global trends, client needs, and opportunities across both Industrials and Health & Life Sciences.
  • Collaborate with lead Partners to shape service offerings, products, and marketing initiatives that resonate with clients and differentiate the firm.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the firm’s global capabilities in both sectors, engaging with international teams to support cross-border growth.
  • Deliver actionable client and market plans that integrate insights from practice areas (e.g., regulatory, IP, M&A, litigation, employment) to ensure a cohesive approach.

Client Engagement & Growth

  • Work with the Senior Client Development Manager within both sectors to identify client needs and tailor offerings accordingly.
  • Manage the pipeline of pitch opportunities, providing strategic input and helping teams make go/no-go decisions.
  • Support globalization of the client base through internal cross-selling, gap analysis, and alignment with key client programmes.

Campaigns & Market Positioning

  • Design and deliver integrated campaigns addressing sector-specific challenges and opportunities (e.g., consumer trust, ESG, digital health, regulatory change).
  • Ensure campaigns are globally relevant and measurable, enabling continuous improvement and learning.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to amplify sector visibility and thought leadership across channels.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Work with International Heads of Industrials and Health & Life Sciences to deliver the three-year growth strategy.
  • Line manage a manager, fostering a high-performance culture and collaborative team environment.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in either the Industrials or Health & Life Sciences sectors, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for market trends and client engagement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across global teams.
