Your Role:
The Senior Advisory Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of the EMEA marketing strategy for the Advisory segment across the region. This includes developing a deep client insight and knowledge, collaborating closely with the other Advisory Marketing Managers in EMEA, and collaborating with central Marketing teams to ensure effective planning and seamless oversight on execution.
Working alongside other Senior Marketing Managers in the client segment, you will ensure alignment with the broader EMEA strategy while tailoring initiatives to regional priorities when needed. It is important to think as global as possible, as local as necessary. The role holder will also lead and develop the Advisory Marketing Manager in their team.
In addition, the Senior Marketing Manager will be accountable for cultivating strategic partnerships with local distribution teams.
The Senior Marketing Manager, Advisory-EMEA reports to the Marketing Director, Advisory-EMEA. The role collaborates closely with Distribution (Sales), EMEA Marketing covering ETF, Private Markets, Advisory and Discretionary segments, and specialist Marketing teams.
Our challenge for the Senior Advisory Marketing Manager is to oversee the planning & implementation of the Advisory segment strategy for their region in close collaboration with the specialist teams, considering local client insight and the most efficient customer journeys to achieve our commercial goals and support Invesco's longer-term plans. The role will build a strong and trusted partnership with the Distribution team in the region to gain insight and input from a country marketing perspective.
Your Team:
Invesco serves a breadth of clients including digital platforms, financial advisors, discretionary clients, pension funds, and insurers. Our customers have diverse investment needs, which we are with an asset base of $1.8trillion with expertise in ETF, equities, fixed income, alternatives/Private Markets and multi-asset. Marketing seeks to connect client needs with our capabilities by creating effective, accountable, multi-channel communications which educate, inspire and support our clients. The Segment & Country Marketing organization works together with the other marketing teams (most obviously Brand, Content, Data/Insights, Digital Experience, Events, External Comms and Growth & Engagement) to deliver to segment needs and the overall EMEA marketing strategy.
What you will be doing:
Integrate the voice of the client in the Institutional segment plans for the region leveraging deep client knowledge and insights to shape impactful, insight-driven marketing strategies and tactics. Collaborate with Content on this pillar.
Partner closely with Distribution colleagues to localize where needed and deliver the overall EMEA Institutional marketing strategy in their markets, aligned with commercial objectives and underpinned by measurable outcomes shaped by clear business cases.
Partner with specialist Marketing teams (Events, Content, Research, GEM, Insights) to execute client experience that reflects the needs defined by the segment strategy.
Work in close partnership with other Advisory marketers across EMEA to ensure regional strategy is consistently applied and adapted at the local level where needed.
Build a strong strategic partnership between Marketing and Distribution within the region, supported by the Marketing Director, EMEA Advisory Marketing. Champion a focused, results-driven approach that prioritises high-impact segment initiatives and clearly demonstrates commercial value.
Develop the team's talents in their region and expertise to drive the local agenda based on client segments' EMEA Country marketing plans. Be as global as possible, as local as necessary.
Develop talent within the Segment Marketing Team with emphasis on the quality of planning, control of marketing budget and effective oversight and accountability of marketing activities
Share regional marketing plans proactively, clearly articulating objectives to allow optimal execution.
Work in close collaboration with the Communications team, ensuring alignment with broader brand and messaging strategies.
What you will bring:
Significant proven expertise in B2B marketing in the financial services industry, with asset management experience as a plus
Expertise in identifying and measuring the success of marketing campaigns, events, with digital experience a clear advantage
Experience in leading a small team and demonstrating strong operational ownership, with the ability to work autonomously while earning the trust and support of senior stakeholders
Management in an organisation with emphasis on digital first as an essential way to shape client experience across channels and building up the funnel
Leadership and inspiration to a team of marketing managers, respecting the cultural differences in the regions
Understanding of asset management, customers, products, competitors
Understanding of the different market landscapes and product prioritization across markets and segments. Experience in model portfolio solutions an advantage.
Sales and Marketing automation platforms in action
Latest B2B marketing techniques, with emphasis on digital channels
Insights, metrics- and results-based marketing principles
Educated to master's level or equivalent qualification.
