About the role

As Senior Marketing Insights Manager at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), you will turn data and research into strategic intelligence, influencing both short‑term campaigns and long‑term marketing strategy. Reporting to our Marketing Director, this role bridges analytics, market research, and storytelling to support revenue growth, brand positioning, and audience engagement.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design and implement measurement frameworks to assess marketing campaign effectiveness, aligning with KPIs, CAC, ROI, funnel performance, and business objectives.
  • Monitor campaigns; synthesize learnings, provide recommendations, and embed them into future strategies.
  • Develop competitor benchmarking programs and perform continuous market intelligence to inform strategic planning.
  • Analyse market trends, audience behaviour, and consumer decision processes through both primary and secondary research.
  • Use marketing-mix modelling, econometrics, ad-hoc analytics, A/B testing, and MMM to quantify the impact of marketing spend
  • Utilize advanced tools including Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics, SPSS and Excel, to uncover insights and visualise results.
  • Build executive dashboards and reporting cadences (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to inform leadership.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders with clarity, translating complex data into strategic narratives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Digital Delivery, Product, Finance, and external partners to align data with business goals.
  • Champion a test-and-learn mindset: promote experimentation across campaigns, creative, and channels.
  • Share benchmarking results, thought leadership, and insights across the organisation to drive continuous improvement.

About you

  • Expertise in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager).
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and website technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.

The interview process for this role will include two stages with a task.

Working schedule

This role is based in our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) and we offer a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
