We're looking for a bold and strategic marketing leader to shape the future of audience engagement at Serpentine!
This is a unique opportunity to join one of the UK’s most influential contemporary arts organisations at a pivotal time of transformation and growth. We’re seeking a Senior Manager, Audience & Marketing to lead the charge in growing and diversifying our audiences – onsite, online and around the world. This is a role for a creative strategist and data-driven thinker who can craft compelling campaigns, champion innovation, and translate cultural ambition into public impact.
As Senior Manager, Audience & Marketing, you’ll spearhead the development and delivery of an ambitious audience strategy to support Serpentine’s mission: free, open, and relevant to all. Leading our marketing and audience development efforts, you’ll be responsible for shaping our brand, increasing physical and digital footfall, and embedding audience insight into everything we do. You’ll manage the Marketing Manager and work closely with teams across the organisation to deliver stand-out campaigns, ensure brand consistency, and drive deeper connections with local and global communities. From paid media to digital platforms, segmentation strategies to creative storytelling – you’ll be at the helm of it all.
We’re after a dynamic audience specialist with: Proven experience in leading brand and audience strategies, ideally in a cultural or creative setting. A track record of driving audience growth through insight-led campaigns and innovative approaches. Strong command of digital marketing, advertising, and media planning – with examples of delivering real impact. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, and a flair for compelling content. Confidence working with data, CRM tools, and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions. A collaborative and proactive leadership style – ready to engage cross-functionally and inspire teams.
