HomeServe is recruiting for a Senior Media Manager to join the Ding Marketing Team in Walsall. The successful candidate will have experience in a subscription-based business, be startup-minded and resilient. Strong marketing planning, stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills are essential.
We work in a hybrid way, mostly remote with a requirement to travel into our Walsall office at least twice a week. You should be located within a convenient commute to Walsall. The broader HomeServe and Ding Acquisition and Growth team drive sales and subscriptions across Paid Media, Traditional channels and Partner activity. As the Senior Media Manager for Ding within the Acquisition team, you will lead the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of media campaigns across all channels. You will be responsible for delivering the sales target for Ding for the channels you own and your role will focus on driving subscriptions effectively and efficiently, exploring and testing new channels to understand the best way to speak to our core audiences, optimising media investment, and driving effectiveness through robust measurement and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Own the strategic planning, execution, and evaluation of campaigns across all media channels to drive Ding subscriptions and deliver the subscription sales target for all media channels.
- Develop and lead marketing strategies tailored to each segment, aligning with business objectives and customer insights based on understanding of the key audience groups, including lapsed HomeServe customers.
- Collaborate with a fast-paced, multi-functional team to grow Ding and establish it as a core part of the HomeServe product and brand portfolio.
- Manage and collaborate with media agency partners to allocate and optimise media budgets across channels (DM, email, inserts, press, paid and organic search, social, display, audio), balancing reach, frequency, and ROI.
- Measure campaign effectiveness and develop robust post-campaign reports; share actionable insights with key stakeholders.
- Ensure high-quality delivery of campaigns with agencies and internal teams, including end-to-end journey integration, creative execution, targeting, and reporting.
- Work with partners on test-and-learn frameworks to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Provide recommendations on media innovation and stay ahead of industry trends to explore new platforms and tools.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (Digital Delivery, Brand, Data, Finance) to ensure media plans are integrated and commercially viable.
- Manage budgets and report on media investments to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Champion Ding within the business and lead the team with engagement and development.
Qualifications
- Experience in a subscription-based business with retention focus and ability to drive app downloads.
- Startup-minded, comfortable with testing quickly and failing fast.
- Growth/Performance Marketing leadership with multi-channel experience; focus on subscriptions with understanding of full-funnel media.
- Commercially savvy with multi-channel budget management, sales forecasting and planning.
- Excellent written communication; able to communicate clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Analytical and data-driven with customer insights to improve performance.
- Outcome-oriented with ability to articulate objectives and deliver what is needed.
- Driven, self-motivated, proactive, able to embrace ambiguity and perform under pressure.
- Team player who collaborates with internal and external teams to deliver top marketing campaigns.
