Account Consultant - Central London - (IP & Internet Solutions) First Point Group is urgently looking for a Customer Account Executive (Mid level) to join our blue chip customer to focus on the London Markets. The position is office based in Central London.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Manage and grow a portfolio of existing enterprise and carrier accounts within the IP and Internet services domain. Drive customer retention and revenue growth by identifying opportunities for upgrades, renewals, and expansion of IP-based solutions. Understand customer network environments and recommend optimal IP, Internet, and connectivity solutions (e.g., IP Transit, Ethernet, DIA, CDN, and cloud interconnects). Coordinate technical and commercial responses to client RFPs/RFQs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and network design best practices. Collaborate with sales engineering and service delivery teams to design, price, and deploy tailored Internet and transport solutions. Track, manage, and report pipeline, sales activities, and performance metrics relative to quota using CRM tools such as Salesforce. Support new product launches by introducing and positioning new network technologies to existing customers. Perform other sales-related or account management duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or Director. Flexibility to operate across multiple time zones and travel domestically or internationally for customer meetings and industry events.
Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent technical or industry experience will be considered. Strong computer proficiency, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Work Experience Minimum of two (3) years of experience in telecommunications or Internet services sales , preferably with IP networking, data connectivity, or cloud networking solutions. Proven success managing enterprise or carrier accounts within the global IP, data, or transport services market. Familiarity with peering, routing, and Internet architecture concepts (BGP, ASN, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, latency, redundancy, etc.).
Skills & Core Competencies Strong understanding of IP networking fundamentals, Internet infrastructure, and global carrier services. Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into commercial solutions. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage complex account portfolios. Self-motivated with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging with both technical and executive stakeholders. Experience presenting to C-level or network engineering leaders within enterprise or carrier environments. Position Summary As an Account Consultant – IP & Internet Solutions , you will serve as a trusted advisor to enterprise and carrier customers, managing long-term relationships and ensuring the delivery of high-performance IP connectivity solutions. You will collaborate with internal technical teams to design, position, and deliver reliable, scalable Internet and data services that meet the evolving demands of clients across multiple geographies. Your role is central to driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth through technical insight, commercial acumen, and proactive engagement.
