Are you a creative, driven marketing professional with a passion for the arts and community engagement? The Beehive, Honiton’s vibrant arts and events venue, is seeking a dynamic Publicity and Marketing Manager to lead our promotional efforts and help grow our reach across East Devon and beyond.About the RoleAs Publicity and Marketing Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our communications strategy. You will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative campaigns that promote our diverse programme of cinema, live events, exhibitions, and community activities. You’ll manage budgets and social media, lead digital and print marketing and collaborate with artists, partners, and staff to ensure The Beehive’s voice is heard loud and clear. You will oversee the management of our existing website and have the exciting opportunity to assist with the design of our new website launching in 2026.Contract type: Permanent 30 hours per week over 4 days, office based.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement marketing strategies and manage budgetsMaintain and redesign our website (experience in app design desirable)Manage social media platforms and create META ads using META Business Suite.Design print materials including posters, flyers, banners and our quarterly programme.Lead the planning and execution of email marketing campaigns, designing and creating regular newsletters and targeted solo e-shots tailored to specific audiences.Update and enhance the Beehive’s email marketing software, ensuring consistent alignment with our brand identity and tone of voice.Coordinate publicity efforts including press releases, website blog posts, regional media outreach and flyering in Honiton and surrounding villages.Promote venue hire, exhibitions, café offerings, and volunteer recruitment.Organise and support fundraising events and community initiativesEssential:Degree in marketing, communications or related fieldProven marketing experience, ideally in the arts or non-profit sectorFundraising experienceFull UK driving licence and access to a car.Preferred Skills:Creative writing and excellent grammarStrong interpersonal and organisational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, CANVA, Mailerlite, and social media platformsExperience with box office systems (desirable)A flexible, positive attitude and commitment to community valuesThe Beehive is more than a venue, it’s a hub for creativity, connection, and community.
