About the role
We seek a Principal or Senior Consultant responsible for providing strategic consultancy services to higher education, focusing on research, design, and implementation of comprehensive brand and marketing strategies for clients across academia, government, and industry.
The candidate will lead brand and reputation consultancy projects, possess extensive marketing experience, and have comprehensive knowledge of branding. They must be able to lead a team of consultants, researchers, copywriters, and designers, and interact with clients regularly.
The role is based in London with hybrid remote working within the UK. It requires entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility, and willingness to contribute globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the creation and execution of client brand and marketing strategies, from research to creative activation
- Collaborating with commercial directors and clients to define requirements, and managing project design and delivery
- Line managing Consultants and Research Executives, and engaging in community management and training
- Supporting business and product development by identifying new opportunities and designing research and creative solutions
- Working with Directors and the Sales team to write proposals
- Providing subject matter expertise through presentations and maintaining professional knowledge, including attending THE events
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in complex project management, financial oversight, and successful delivery
- Expertise in developing marketing strategies, including research, audience segmentation, brand positioning, and marketing tactics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse stakeholders globally
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and within teams, managing workload effectively
- Strong planning, organizational, and deadline management skills
- Critical thinking with strengths in data collection and analysis
- Deep understanding of higher education sector and government policies
- Willingness to work irregular hours and travel internationally
- Familiarity with data analysis software and data visualization tools
