Job Description

Job Title: Performance Marketing Specialist (Recruitment Focus)

Salary: Up to £45,000

Location: Manchester / Hybrid

Duration: 12 month FTC (with the ability to become permanent)

Why this role matters

Growth is being held back by one thing: not enough of the right people. This company's service is in demand, the sites are ready but without sufficient staff, capacity sits unused. This role exists to fix the hiring funnel.

The challenge

Recruitment advertising has been treated as admin. Ads go live, spend ticks over, but nobody tracks what works or shifts budget where it’s needed. Change is required to optimise effectiveness. Therefore, we need a performance marketer who loves data, testing, and optimisation, and who can apply that skill set to candidate acquisition.

What you’ll do

  • Own the recruitment performance funnel: impressions → clicks → applications → qualified hires
  • Run campaigns on job marketplaces and boards, keeping high-priority roles visible
  • Test, track, and shift budget quickly. Weekly iteration is the norm, not the exception
  • Report with clarity on cost per application, cost per qualified application, conversion rates, and time to fill
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to align activity to real demand - you’ll be plugged directly into live hiring priorities
  • Work with Brand colleagues to brief the right assets and messages for conversion

What you’ll bring

  • Proven performance marketing experience (paid search, social, marketplaces or similar high-intent environments)
  • Confidence with analytics, attribution and funnel tracking.... you enjoy turning numbers into action
  • Hands-on optimisation skills: bids, budgets, pacing, audiences, copy testing
  • A conversion mindset. You care about the quality of outcomes, not just clicks
  • Clear communication. You can influence with data and cut through the noise
  • Energy for pace; many roles open, shifting priorities, quick feedback loops

Why it’s worth your time

  • The direct line between your work and business growth is clear. More qualified hires = more capacity = more revenue.
  • 12-month FTC with a real pathway to permanent if you show impact.
  • You’ll join a small, hands-on marketing team with direct access to decision makers.

The package

  • Up to £45,000 depending on experience
  • 12 month FTC with potential to convert
  • Hybrid working in Greater Manchester (around three days a week on site)
