Work for a Certified B Corporation

Opportunity to get in at the ground floor of a purpose-driven, fast-paced, fast-growth company in the outdoor industry; lots of scope for your growth!

What is the job role?

We're looking for a creative, pro-active and detail-oriented Performance Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. You will lead our paid social and search strategy and campaigns that drive growth and brand awareness. This is a hands-on role for a creative, strategic thinker who isn't afraid to pair data with out-of-the-box thinking to get things done.

You'll have the autonomy to manage and optimise campaigns across various platforms, working closely with our internal teams and our external Performance Marketing Agency. We are looking for someone who can see the bigger picture and understands how paid social fits into a cohesive customer experience across all marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Creative Paid Content Strategy & Growth Plan: Lead the performance marketing strategy across all key platforms (Meta, YouTube, Google as well as TikTok), building a clear roadmap for sustainable growth that drives brand awareness and commercial results.
  • Deliver & Optimise Campaigns: Plan, launch and optimise campaigns end-to-end, managing budgets and forecasts to hit revenue and efficiency goals.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team: to deliver industry leading campaigns that champion the brand and stand out in a crowded market.
  • Full-Funnel & Creative Partnership: Balance prospecting, retargeting and retention activity, and translate performance data into clear, actionable insights for the creative team to amplify storytelling and cut-through.
  • Test, Measure & Learn: Design and run structured tests — from A/B experiments to incrementality studies — to understand what’s truly driving performance, and apply those insights to campaign planning and creative development.
  • Collaborate & Educate: Partner with Tech, Ecom, SEO and wider marketing teams to create a seamless customer journey, while raising the collective level of performance marketing knowledge across the business.
  • Drive Agency Performance: Set goals, keep our external agency accountable, and ensure they continually push performance forward.

Understand SunGod’s triple bottom line of people, planet and profit, and incorporate this into your job role every day.

Who are we looking for?

The ideal person has the following skills, experiences and competencies:

  • Creative understanding of both brand and full funnel marketing, paired with strong data and analytical skills.
  • Deep expertise in creating creative paid campaigns across Meta, YouTube, Google Ads (Search/Shopping). Reddit, Pinterest, and TikTok desired, not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Performance Marketing Manager or a similar role, either in-house or agency side.
  • Proven ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • A proactive and autonomous work style, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills cross-function.
  • A strategic mindset with a strong understanding of how to build a unified customer experience.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with an eye for monitoring industry trends.
  • You're a doer who takes initiative and gets things done, able to focus on the key objectives.
  • Able to align creative and data insights and use them to inform briefs independently.
