Performance Marketing Manager

New Today

Overview

We’re looking for an experienced commercially driven, strategic, and hands-on Performance Marketing Manager to join our Bristol-based team and play a central role in shaping the growth strategy of globally recognised tech events – bringing creativity and precision to campaigns that reach high-value, niche audiences across sectors.

The candidate must be data-led with a proven track record and experience specifically in paid search, paid social, email campaign delivery and affiliate marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • PPC / Paid Search: Manage day-to-day execution of paid advertising campaigns across platforms including Google Ads and Bing.
  • Paid Social: Plan, build, and optimise campaigns across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels.
  • Email Marketing: Execute targeted email campaigns including segmentation, A/B testing, and basic automations.
  • Audience Segmentation & Targeting: Develop nuanced audience segmentation strategies for B2B and B2C event campaigns. Leverage data and insight to tailor messaging and media mix to high-intent, niche segments across channels.
  • Affiliate & Partner Marketing: Manage and grow partnerships that expand our reach and drive ROI.
  • Performance Reporting: Deliver weekly insights across all channels, tracking key metrics such as spend, CPA, ROAS, and contribution to revenue.
  • Budget Management: Own and optimise media spend across channels, ensuring alignment with revenue targets and cost-efficiency goals.
  • Micro-Campaign Development: Design and execute agile micro-campaigns aligned to specific stages of the event lifecycle—pre-launch, registration bursts, last-minute offers—optimising for velocity and cost per acquisition.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, conference production, and operations teams to ensure alignment on audience targets and campaign strategy.

What We're Looking For

  • Demonstrated success in a performance marketing role, ideally in the events or tech industry.
  • Experience building campaigns that balance always-on acquisition with short-burst, audience-specific activations—ideally in a ticketed, time-sensitive environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.).
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience translating data into actionable insights.
  • Confident managing budgets and making ROI-focused decisions.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at pace in a collaborative environment.
