We’re on the lookout for a senior leader in performance marketing to shape how Virgin approaches marketing effectiveness & growth, media, and MarTech across the Group. You’ll lead marketing strategy, media planning and buying, measurement effectiveness, and marketing campaigns for the Virgin masterbrand and Virgin Red – professionalising how we optimise media and building enterprise-wide capability. This is a role for a strategic operator who’s equally comfortable influencing the C-suite and rolling up sleeves to deliver measurable impact.

Tell me more

  • Act as senior media advisor to Virgin Companies, designing playbooks and running capability workshops
  • Lead group media governance, procurement standards and vendor SLAs
  • Own the Virgin Management & Virgin Red central media P&L, forecasting, allocating and justifying spend through robust measurement
  • Build strategic partnerships with major platforms (Meta, Google, TikTok, DSPs, retail media networks)
  • Drive innovation through pilots, AI/automation, and new media formats
  • Lead performance marketing transformation across teams – hiring, upskilling and embedding a test-and-learn culture

What you’ll need

  • A strong track record leading performance marketing or digital media at senior level, with experience shaping strategy and influencing at the top table
  • Proven success managing and optimising multi-million-pound media budgets, delivering measurable ROI across different channels and markets
  • Confidence advising and partnering with senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Deep commercial know-how in negotiating with platforms, vendors and media partners, with the ability to run procurement and contracts end-to-end
  • Hands-on experience launching and scaling MarTech platforms and automation programmes that drive growth
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate data and insight into clear recommendations and compelling stories for boards and leadership teams
