As a Document Review Paralegal / Support Lawyer you can gain experience within a Magic Circle law firm, working in-house or in an alternative legal service provider environment. You will get experience working with document review software, such as Relativity, as well as working closely with Linklaters clients, providing advice, training, assistance and offering exceptional client service. Responsibilities
As a Paralegal/Support Lawyer supporting the Private Equity and M&A practices, you will play a key role in enabling effective business development initiatives that are closely aligned with firm-wide and client sector strategies. Your main responsibilities will include: Assisting with drafting and preparing BD plans for Private Equity and M&A teams, and supporting their implementation under the guidance of senior lawyers and BD professionals. Helping to coordinate and implement local client targeting initiatives, ensuring that approach and activities reflect the broader global BD growth objectives of the firm. Collaborating with global BD colleagues and the wider Business Development & Marketing (BDM) function to keep the local office aligned with firmwide strategies, and supporting effective knowledge sharing between teams. Ensuring that all activities follow established global processes and that shared resources and technology tools are used consistently to support local BD efforts. Assisting in the development and execution of targeted growth plans, and helping identify cross-selling opportunities with other practice and sector groups. Creating and collating inputs for winning pitches and panel submissions, ensuring contributions are timely, relevant, and tailored to client needs. Working closely with the Client & Sector BD teams to gather relevant information and materials for campaigns, and supporting the creation and roll-out of go-to-market initiatives focused on target clients and market priorities. Gathering, analysing, and reporting on Private Equity and M&A market intelligence, client feedback, and industry trends to inform BD strategy, spotting opportunities and monitoring product pipelines. Supporting the use of technology and firm data tools to deliver actionable insights for BD activities, ensuring all outputs are accurate, well-presented, and client-focused.
Qualifications
LPC / SQE / qualified lawyer Prior experience providing business development support in legal services, with exposure to Private Equity and M&A matters. Ability to contribute to BD planning and project management, including the coordination and execution of BD tasks in line with organisational objectives. Experience identifying and researching growth opportunities for professional services firms. Confidence in communicating and working as part of cross-office and cross-functional teams. Understanding of the use of global resources, templates, and tools to enhance BD processes. Experience preparing supporting materials for pitches, proposals, and panel presentations. Ability to build working relationships with lawyers, BD personnel and sector teams, supporting cross-selling activities and client targeting efforts. Strong analytical skills with experience handling data, conducting research, and presenting key BD insights. Experience collecting, summarising, and reporting market intelligence and tracking industry developments. Proficiency in using technology platforms, research tools, and data systems to support BD deliverables.
