PA - Marketing and Communications at Cambridge Enterprise
Location: West Cambridge | Hours: 22.5 per week | Hybrid | Salary: £18,682 (£31,137 pro‑rated)
Overview
We’re looking for an organized, proactive and friendly Professional Assistant to keep our Marketing & Communications team running at its best.
What You’ll Be Doing
Be the first point of contact for the team, welcoming visitors and handling initial enquiries with warmth and efficiency.
Manage complex diaries and inboxes, prioritise meetings and handle sensitive information with care.
Coordinate meetings and travel: book venues, catering, AV and travel arrangements, prepare agendas, take minutes, capture actions and ensure follow‑through.
Maintain office logistics and a well‑stocked workspace; manage onboarding, invoice tracking and expense processing; create documents and reports.
Support the team across events, intranet updates, web publishing, filming and photography projects.
Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve workflows and explore smarter tools (including AI).
What We’re Looking For
Experience as a PA, EA or senior administrator supporting busy leaders or teams.
Brilliant organisational skills and calm under pressure.
Clear, confident communication with people at all levels.
Team‑first mindset with strong collaboration skills, approachability and ability to build trusted relationships.
Great attention to detail and pride in getting things right.
Proactive, problem‑solving mindset and a “can‑do” attitude.
Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning new challenges.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills, with curiosity for learning new digital tools.
Discretion, tact and good judgement.
It’d be a bonus if you also have:
Experience supporting marketing, communications or events work.
Knowledge of the university, research, innovation or not‑for‑profit sectors.
Familiarity with tools like Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot or project management software.
