Marketing Science Manager at Havas Media UK Overview Job title: Marketing Science ManagerLocation: The HVL Building, 3 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG Havas is one of the world’s largest global communications groups. This role sits within the CSA team in Havas Media Networks Data and Analytics (DNA). The CSA team provides marketing analytics, data science & engineering, consumer insight and Martech consultancy, working closely with account teams to help clients understand customers, plan and optimise marketing investments, and leverage first and third-party data. Purpose Of The Role We are looking for an experienced modeller with at least 2 years of marketing mix modelling experience with an ability to code, to join our well-established and award-winning team. The role involves taking the lead on managing clients and projects, delivering out-of-scope work where needed, and supporting growth in the team and agency. You will work closely with the Data Analytics, Data Science & Engineering Teams, wider CSA team, and the global Centre of Excellence. Key Responsibilities
Present analysis to wider stakeholders including clients and colleagues within the agency with confidence Hands-on stakeholder management to ensure internal and external teams maximise value from solutions Code to streamline work processes and develop/deliver new product solutions using programming languages Collaborate with Centre of Excellence teams to deliver best-in-class econometric solutions on time and within scope Work with Directors and the wider team to advance the media measurement agenda Utilise and champion bespoke modelling software and its ongoing development across the Havas group Advocate data-driven decision making throughout Havas Help develop new data science products and solutions to improve workflows or create new revenue streams Assist in leading multiple revenue-generating econometric modelling projects
Required Key Experience & Skills
Minimum of two years' hands-on experience in econometric modelling Strong data storytelling and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex findings clearly Client-focused approach with impact on business outcomes Deep understanding of econometric modelling theory and methodology Balanced approach to model building, combining statistical robustness with practical client requirements Creative problem-solving; handling challenges such as unique sector characteristics or limited data Meticulous data collection and cleansing; proficiency in Excel and other tools Experience developing and implementing scenario-planning solutions based on econometric models Strong organisational skills; managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines Lead analyst on econometric projects, responsible for data preparation, modelling, and delivery Experience extracting, processing, and transforming diverse datasets Ensuring modelling solutions are robust, insightful, and actionable Ability to create visually compelling presentations for information sharing Continuous learning of econometric theories, techniques, and tools Interpreting data to communicate key insights verbally and in writing Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development Collaborating across Havas to explore data science opportunities and drive marketing effectiveness Staying up to date with industry developments and enhancing econometric offerings with Directors Contributing to econometrics benchmarking solutions
Desired
Modelling and data wrangling experience in Python/R/SQL/Eviews Experience pitching analytics work or willingness to learn Experience handling large datasets using SQL/BigQuery or similar Experience with non-standard regression methodologies (Bayesian, cross-sectional) or non-regression approaches Experience working with the wider analytics team to develop end-to-end client solutions Understanding of how econometric modelling fits into the wider measurement ecosystem Awareness of marketing mix modelling provider landscape Familiarity with industry topics and modelling solution partners (e.g., Meridian, Robyn, Adobe) Understanding of media agency data sets and challenges Exposure to GCP or Web Analytics Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau/Data Studio) Degree level education, ideally econometrics or statistics-focused Familiarity with datasets and tools (e.g., Nielsen, YouGov, ONS, OECD, GfK)
