Role Purpose
To create value by building and implementing innovative category strategies, commercial procurement solutions, and supplier management practices that deliver a competitively advantaged supply base for Danone across Topline and Healthcare spend in the UK. To operate as a collaborative member of the UKI, Regional & Global C&P Teams, and effectively business partner key stakeholders and budget owners. Shape and align the Procurement strategy to support the achievement of business goals including growth, cost reduction, cash generation, Sustainability and deployment of regional and global plans, ensuring process compliance.
Category Strategy: Develop and implement 1-3 year category strategies with stakeholders, supported by execution roadmaps to deliver this strategy with short, medium and long term initiatives – ensuring alignment of local strategies with regional and global procurement teamsStakeholder Engagement: Regular communication with business stakeholders to ensure alignment to key procurement strategies and develop relationships across the procurement community and with key stakeholdersMarket Intelligence: Understanding and responding to market intelligence, optimal supplier pricing and value. Deliver supplier strategies which actively anticipate and reduce supplier risk (., sole supplier risk, financial health, data privacy, information security, modern slavery) and secure competitive supplySourcing and Contracting: Ensure appropriate Supplier tendering, sourcing and contracting strategies are in place across the category to mitigate legal and regulatory exposure. Embed and monitor relevant supplier KPIs in collaboration with key Danone stakeholdersInitiative Management: Deliver procurement initiatives, applying a variety of strategies and levers including; tendering, e-auctions and cost negotiations, price benchmarking, supplier consolidation and rationalisationSupplier Relationship Management: Perform supplier segmentation and drive supplier engagement with Danone priorities and strategies via regular and robust SRM processes About You
About you:
Functional Competencies:A strong knowledge and demonstrated experience of procurement roles within the Marketing categoryStrong experience of working and relationship management within a matrix environmentExperience of communicating to board levelLeadership / Behavioral Competencies:Autonomous delivery of results: Ability to deliver to agreed savings and value targetsProblem solving: Ability to use information, analysis and insights to identify and unlock opportunities across the supply baseProgramme delivery: Ability to lead a portfolio of strategic and tactical procurement initiatives with competing resources and prioritiesPrioritisation skills: Ability to independently prioritise work and deliver procurement initiatives in a complex environmentCommunication and Influencing: Ability to build strong trusting relationships with cross-functional and cross-geographical stakeholders. Use these relationships to support and challenge stakeholders beliefs / positionsRole model leadership qualities and behaviours within UKI and EU Procurement TeamsPlease note the salary on offer for this role is between £70,000 - £82,000 plus bonus & benefits.
