About the Role As a Marketing Operator, you will be responsible for implementing and managing hydrocarbon and ammonia seaborne cargo sales and purchase contracts to ensure that Woodside’s exposures and value leakage are mitigated, commercial value and operational flexibility are maximised, and all contractual obligations are met across multiple time zones. This position is located in London. Duties & Responsibilities
Manage the cargo operations interface from trade inception to completion between Supplier, Operator, and Customer under the terms of the relevant sales and purchase contract. Ensure contractual and legislative obligations are met, e.g. nominations, deadlines, export and import requirements. Liaise with Shipping to convey accurate commercial instructions, complete ship‑shore compatibility requirements and for load and discharge planning including heel and estimated delivery quantity notification. Manage document instructions for shipping documentation e.g. BLs, Certificates of Quality and Quantity and Origin. Manage and record terminal delivery nominations, facilitate vessel and terminal clearances, product quality, quantity and value measurement, credit requirements, cargo invoicing, processing invoice payments and demurrage and claims management. Appoint and manage Independent Surveyors for both spot and term contracts. Administration of inter‑company commercial and administrative requirements including drafting of cargo dedications, preparation and issuing of agency fee, revenue statement and cargo costs invoice for cargoes and managing processing of payments. Manage operational issues e.g. optimisation trades, re‑scheduling, quantities, change to delivery location in combination with traders. Establish and maintain constructive relationships with customers, suppliers and operators as a means of influencing favourable commercial outcomes. Review existing and proposed agreements and advise on the operational imperatives and any risks associated with agreement terms. Liaise with Treasury, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Legal for SPA and credit requirements and cargo reporting. Manage cargo records and work within cargo management systems.
Skills & Experience
Degree qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience in Contracts Management, Finance, Production, Shipping or similar areas. Experience in the oil and gas industry and experience a large joint venture project is an advantage.
