About the role As a Marketing Manager (Social Media & Programmatic), you will take responsibility for the execution and performance of marketing activity for one or more of the JL Money products across Insurance and/or Credit & Banking.
You will ensure marketing campaigns are executed across multiple channels to an exceptional standard, with a primary focus on maximising marketing expenditure return on investment (ROI) through rigorous testing, learning, optimisation programs, and customer-centric targeting. Predominantly focusing on paid social media and programmatic display, you will serve as a key member of the Social Media Team, reporting directly to the Social Lead and driving our strategic efforts by taking ownership of these critical channels. Where necessary, there will also be the expectation to support wider marketing channels (including PPC, affiliates, SEO, email, direct mail & POS) This role requires strong experience in paid social and a deep understanding of programmatic marketing. You must demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and be proficient in managing external agencies, holding them accountable for results. You'll actively respond to market trends, customer insights, and commercial performance to deliver exceptional marketing activities across the channel mix.
You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Financial Services sector, products and associated regulation, executing best-in-practice and high quality work. You will have the ability to manage customer insights and commercial outcomes.
Salary range -
Up to £55,000 (depending on experience)

Key responsibilities
Responsible for the execution of projects as designated by the appropriate Marketing Lead or Senior Marketing Manager.
Execute, manage and optimise integrated marketing activities for the FS Value Streams, ensuring that trading and customer objectives are accurately represented, across agreed-upon channels. This will be primarily focused on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), YouTube, Display, and other programmatic channels, but also includes, but is not limited to: SearchAds360, SEO, Affiliates, point of sale/printed collateral, web pages/banners, ATL channels when required, and SFMC newsletters, trigger emails and integrated email campaigns.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the paid and organic social landscape, with excellent knowledge in media plans and paid social audiences and being able to differentiate how each works separately, and their unique needs.
Demonstrate strong agency and stakeholder management skills across internal teams and external partners.
Management of budgets, tracking expenditure against the budget and driving efficiencies to maximise ROIs and customer KPIs. Liaises with internal finance teams and planning, as well as external suppliers.
Work closely with the wider Marketing team to align on both bespoke marketing campaign optimisations, as well as end to end customer journeys and trigger strategy/comms.
Align and target marketing activities based on customer strategy, audience, and behavioral segments.
Champion a customer first approach to support customer, marketing and trading priorities, measured by commercial and engagement KPIs.
Accountable for ensuring accuracy of communications - (in terms of: copy, design, tone of voice, timings and audience).
Ensure timely analysis and reporting in mutually agreed-upon formats and dashboards, leveraging insights to inform future campaigns.
Identify and spearhead groundbreaking initiatives within the digital performance and personalisation landscape.
Utilise insights and internal and external networks to remain abreast of critical customer requirements, market conditions, and trends, including technological advancements.
Ensure all work adheres to financial promotion regulation and required standards of governance.
People management experience is a strong plus as this role will have two direct reports.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Proven expertise in implementing marketing campaigns that yield tangible and measurable outcomes.
Deep, hands-on experience in paid social media, including but not limited to platform understanding, media plan development, and social audience targeting and management.
Understanding of upper-funnel activities and their pivotal role in optimising overall performance.
Proven ability to oversee the creative development process for marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the target audience's preferences and aspirations.
Experience leveraging diverse digital marketing platforms to optimise campaigns and incorporate cutting-edge solutions.
Consistent track record of influencing stakeholders across various departments, fostering collaboration, and gaining support for digital marketing initiatives.
Strong experience in agency management, including briefing, performance oversight, and driving accountability for results.
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Strong commercial acumen, with a verifiable track record of achieving desired outcomes.
Proven ability to deliver effective presentations to both internal and external audiences.
