Marketing Manager (Part-Time)

My client is a cutting-edge medical technology spinout from the University of Southampton, led by a team of seasoned entrepreneurs and scientists. They have developed a revolutionary microfluidic test that slashes antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) times from over 48 hours to just 3 hours, helping clinicians fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a global health crisis claiming more than 1 million lives annually.
I am seeking a part-time (15-20 hours/week), experienced Marketing Manager to lead and deliver their full marketing strategy as they prepare to launch their game-changing technology in the UK (2025) and internationally (US: 2026/27).
Who this role would suit:
We're looking for a strategic and hands-on marketing professional with a strong track record in diagnostics, preferably with experience in Pathology or Microbiology.
You will likely:
Hold a good degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant discipline (e.g. Life Sciences, Bio-medical Science, Marketing with MedTech focus) Bring proven experience in B2B healthcare or diagnostics marketing, including product launch planning Thrive in a fast-paced, agile, startup environment where innovation, speed, and high standards are the norm Be a self-starter who can work autonomously while engaging and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Be a strong communicator, equally confident writing scientific marketing content and managing third-party vendorsKey Responsib...
