We are seeking a Marketing Manager who is passionate about global affairs to support our fast-paced and friendly Corporate Fundraising team. This is a diverse and collaborative role where you will develop and execute marketing campaigns across our B2B events portfolio, while generating leads to support our corporate fundraising efforts.About The Role: Through high-level commercial events, conferences and corporate membership, the Corporate Fundraising team generates vital unrestricted income for the Institute. Our research and convening bring together influential voices from government, business, academia and civil society. The postholder will have a flair for copywriting and will play a key role in our corporate fundraising strategy to support income generation via corporate membership and enhance the reach and impact of our commercial events. If there is anything we can do to improve your experience or support you, please contact us at HR@Chathamhouse.org.ResponsibilitiesDeliveryPrepare high-quality marketing materials and partner packs for events and corporate membership promotion, including graphics, brochures, social media assets, vox-pop videos and copy for online and offline channels.Plan the yearly corporate fundraising marketing strategy and execute campaigns to support corporate fundraising objectives.Manage the Chatham House Events LinkedIn and X channels and implement social paid advertising campaigns.Maintain and update conference and event web pages in the CMS (Drupal).Manage and segment data, identify gaps, and work with the digital and CRM team to build data to support lead generation.Write and proofread copy for a range of platforms while acting as brand guardian for all corporate fundraising outputs.Manage budgets and third-party suppliers, where necessary.Collaborate with the Head of Digital Marketing on new marketing projects for the Institute.PeopleIdentify and secure marketing partnerships with media partners, industry associations, and supporting organizations.Build relationships with key partners to enhance the visibility of our events internally and externally.Work with the corporate fundraising team to ensure messaging appeals to a business audience, generating a strong pipeline of leads and opportunities for revenue.Collaborate with the wider marketing team on best practice and campaign optimisation.StrategyPlan, implement and optimise email marketing campaigns to enhance audience and membership engagement and retention, lead generation, and revenue growth.Seek out new ways to boost performance, conversations, and lead generation in line with sales objectives.Ensure the right participant mix on site and plan all event marketing activities and partnerships to attract target delegates.Ensure all messaging is benefit-led and tailored to the channel.Transform complex content into digestible formats across offline and online channels to attract paying delegates to our events.Contribute to delivery of Chatham House’s EDI strategy.Person SpecificationEssential SkillsSolid understanding of social media platforms (X and LinkedIn), email marketing platforms (e.g. DotDigital), and design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite, Photoshop & InDesign).Excellent copywriting skills with an understanding of how to resonate with a commercial audience.Good attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.A keen eye for branding and consistency across communications and platforms.Curiosity and creativity to test, learn, and trial new approaches.Knowledge of GDPR regulations.Experience using CRM systems and CMS (Dynamics and Drupal advantageous).Strong grasp of data analytics.Essential ExperiencePrevious experience driving successful event and membership marketing campaigns.Previous experience in a B2B, commercial events role or membership role.Confident working with senior partners and collaborating across teams in-house.Desire to work with a diverse and agile department that shifts quickly to changing market needs.Desirable ExperienceExperience with multimedia and video.Solid grasp of SEO fundamentals.Application ProcessPlease include a CV and cover letter (no more than 1 page) explaining why you are suited for the role and how you meet the criteria in the person specification, providing evidence of experiences that enable you to fulfil the role responsibilities.BenefitsBenefits include approximately 37 days annual leave (including public holidays and Chatham House closure days), pension salary exchange, employee assistance programme, parental leave, flexible working and other benefits designed to suit your lifestyle.
