Employment type: Full-time.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with line manager to develop strategic direction for each assigned releaseManage the development and implementation of tailored marketing plans for designated Universal theatrical releases within a specified budgetChampion each assigned film to ensure it receives necessary attention and focus from internal teams, the broader organisation and agenciesCollaborate with Creative Services Manager and the Global Creative team to execute creative campaigns that fully meet the needs of the UK marketOrganise and facilitate kick-off and brainstorming sessions for each assigned film to nurture and develop conceptsManage projects with significant strategic and/or financial importanceBrief and lead the management of external agencies including creative and media to ensure plans and creative are aligned with strategic positioningProject manage the cross-functional team (Publicity, Trade Marketing, Brand Partnerships, Creative, Data & Insights) to ensure integrated elements come together in market on schedule and within budgetInnovate with new initiatives to deliver ROI and maximise box office, partnering with senior team members on special projects as appropriateManage social agency for allocated titles, from briefing to film release, ensuring consistent content delivery across campaignsReview and optimise digital media plans based on paid, owned and earned channelsCampaign DeliverablesDevelop fully integrated marketing plans with clear strategy, defined target audiences and media plans in collaboration with Marketing Director and functional leadsEnsure Marketing Strategy documents are well drafted, accurate and up to date in planning systemsMonitor and evaluate campaign performance against objectives with insights to inform PCAInsights, Data & ReportingLeverage data sources to monitor and optimise campaigns to maximise box office performanceDefine territory-specific insights with the Research team and incorporate learnings into campaignsShare key insights across teams to drive strategic decisions and opportunities for test & learnBudgetManage the budget for each project/release and deliver within the agreed P&L budgetCommunicationLead regular team updates to keep campaigns aligned with strategyRepresent the Universal theatrical team at launches, media events and partner/exhibitor events as requiredCollaborate with EMEA and HO teams; attend cross-territory meetings as UK representativeAttend company conferences/meetings to represent the UK team and coordinate with production companies/filmmakersProvide regular updates to line managerDigital & SocialMonitor paid media performance across major digital platforms and optimise against KPIsCoordinate with Global Digital and Creative teams on content rollout and asset needsMaintain regular digital reporting and KPI measurementManage social agency briefing, content calendar approvals, and community managementIncorporate data-driven approaches across the Universal digital estateCollaborate with Publicity lead on content creator strategyApply latest social trends to engage the film’s target audienceCreative & AgenciesWork with Creative Services Manager and Global Theatrical Team to develop and implement UK campaignsAdapt and implement UK creative campaigns; ensure all communications stay on strategy and within guidelinesBrief and manage agencies to deliver quality, value and timely materialsPublicityCollaborate with Publicity to ensure integration of publicity activities in planning and executionDeliver strategies that raise awareness across media)QualificationsKey CompetenciesThinks strategicallySelf-starting and self-governingDrives ideas through to actions and resultsBuilds relationships and is a team playerInspires creativity and innovationCommunicates effectivelyEnthusiasm and passion for filmAbout YouExtensive theatrical marketing experience with a track record of driving titles past £10m GBOExcellent knowledge of all aspects of the marketing mix; able to devise and execute innovative campaignsIn-depth understanding of digital marketing with extensive experience delivering social media campaigns and managing social agenciesStrong team player with ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externallyExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent planning and organisational skills; able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience in dynamic, fast-paced environmentsExcellent knowledge of the theatrical market and landscapeExperience with creative development and agency managementAdditional InformationAs part of our selection process, external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview.
